Just found this thread today even though I've been listening to the YGO openings for the last month or so. Childhood franchise, but I get real sad over what happened in 2022 sometimes. Bonds Beyond Time was such a fun movie, to think we might not even get another crossover like that again :.)

i liked everything up to 5D's. did not care for XYZ and above summons but after playing YGO duel links i started to love XYZ monsters (not the machine XYZ the black covered monster cards) my fav card out of all the XYZ is number 82.

Furnace sounds quite good actually. I still run 1 Blazeman in my Destiny HERO Pure deck as a back up Poly searcher in case something happens to Vyon or as a bait for negation so I can then use Vyon instead. Furnace is kind of better in that regard, although it differs in that it doesn't have the dump effect of Blazeman.

I love that opening, but my favourite one is the season 4 GX op Precious Time Glory Days. But then again, my favourite ost out of Yu-Gi-Oh is Clear Mind and Mirai Ito is a very close second so 5D's wins overall.

I am currently playing a game from the year 2006 called Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Duel Academy for the Nintendo GBA.
It really surprised me because the game is not easy and you have to pay attention to a lot of things to get ahead and especially these exams that you have to take every end of the month are tough.
What do you think about this game?
I'm not sure if it's a retro game but next year it will be 20 years old.

I love this game, its easily one of the better Yu-Gi-Oh videogames. If you want a better experience though I'd highly recommend the Tag Force GX games for the PSP. Alternatively if you don't like tag duels (2 versus 2 4 way duels) then you should try Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's World Championship 2011 Over the Nexus for the DS!

I wanted to share with whoever still views this thread a deck I recently made and have been going on a win streak with. Now, to be fair, most of those wins were because no one knows what the hell this deck even does yet so they don't know the proper ways to interact with it but all in all it's extra deck is quite a large tool box that can get you out of any situation. I got out of Runic Stun with this one and got through a few heavy hitters this format.

So what the hell is this? This is Materiactor, a relatively new rank 3 archetype that is reaaaaally fun to play! It revolves around normal monsters, mostly your Prima Materiactor which is a normal PENDULUM monster, bypassing the fact its a vanilla and getting a nice little draw effect when you attach it as material. The main goal of the deck is to summon your Materiactor Exagard to negate and bounce back monsters alongside having your Materiactor Meltdown continuous spell which says when ANY xyz monster on the field activates its effect, attach the top card of your deck to a Materiactor xyz monster you control. This is so you can keep pumping Exagard with materials in order to make its effect live and make your omni-negate counter trap Materiactor Critical live. Not to mention every turn Exagard does not detach to grave but rather adds back Materiactor cards you've attached to it as material to your hand, which creates almost an infinite resource loop.
This deck can play around almost anything, including hand traps like Nibiru seeing as we play Bamboozling Gossip Shadow which when ANY effect ANYWHERE is activated, you change that effect to be "Both players draw 1 card".
Other standouts are Goblin Biker Big Gabonga, which not only searches your Goblin Biker Dugg Charger which then grabs you your Goblin Biker Grand Stampede as a generic negate, it also allows you to eat any monster on the field. This alongside cards like Ashura King and the Armored Xyz package allow for some crazy control over the game.
What would I change? Swap out the Link monster for maybe another rank 3 xyz, I'd also swap out the 1 singular Imperm for a Called by the Grave, maybe even remove 1 of the Counter Traps although I always like running 2 of these types of omni-negate in archetype counter traps.

Red Supernova is a login gift. You get 1X (I doubt you need more). Most of the rest of the RDA deck can be bought with the new Structure Deck

This is by and far the best structure in the shop now in my opinion. Maybe I'm biased cause this was one of my main decks in the TCG last year but you actually get a fully constructed deck this time around instead of just singles and then you gotta buy another 2. I'd say only thing missing is another Red Rising Dragon and maaaaaaybe another Vision Resonator but other than that take out some of the crappy Resonators and traps, throw in some handtraps and you're set. Credit when credits due, good job Komoney. For once.

I've opted to take Ghost Ogre out for just 2 random other cards I had (Veiler and Nib)
I'm kind of reluctant to craft Maxx C. I have a feeling it'll be fully banned and replaced with the Mulcharmy cards soon in MD too. I already have a good chunk of the deck crafted from other decks so there's that too. Overall I'm happy the main pieces of this deck are so cheap, I figured the searcher was gonna be like an SR at last but nope its an R. That's great.

I don't care for the UI and there are only like 3 decks per format tops I actually like the aesthetics of. Yugioh handheld and console games are a different story, though! I still want that goddamn card reader peripheral from the 5Ds Wii game...YGOmega is good but it's probably a bitcoin miner.

I prefer Dueling Nexus over DB. The only issue with DN is sometimes you have to know the full name of a card otherwise it won't show up in the card search but it shouldn't be a problem if you play the game regularly. I still use DB though occasionally.

I forgot that iteration of Dueling Nexus was a thing! I stuck so close to Duelingbook after I left MD because it's just a fork/port of the original DN from the viral era, but I'll check out the new one as well. Thanks!
