Your place is noisy?

Yo ear plugs is a really really good idea! I don't think I possess super sonic hearing or anything, but if I have my window open I can hear conversations from a few houses away (not intentionally, mind). I worry as I get older about the amount of noise I make. I never gave a damn about how loud I was until I reached my late 20's.

I had a neighbor who used to blast music - literally - from dawn to dusk...

... Until someone beat the absolute hell outta him.

That was beautifully satisfying.
Once other neighbors in where my father lives fought with a neighbor like that. Apparently he stopped.

You know? My mother says that i have a unusual high sense of audiction and sometimes i hear things that nobody else hears.
And yeah, earplugs are a life saver. You can also use earphones.

I used to have an upstairs neighbor who just loved doing fun neighborly activities like stomping around, yelling into his phone and eventually playing guitar mostly between 10pm and 4am. Eventually I just had to move out because the stress and insomnia was starting to take a real actual toll on my mental health.

I live on a nice and quiet avenue with mostly older neighbors or young families. It’s very calm and peaceful and I actually get annoyed when people who don’t live on it drive through. Haha though not enough to say anything to them obviously.

Often is silent with two exceptions, the water cooler replenisher in front of my street blasts awful music while in his shift and one of my neighbors frequently blasts more music in his garage, most rarely he plays it inside his house, but so soul his windows vibrate

You know who he was and their price?

my neighbor sometimes does very loud renovation work. mostly constant drilling. for example i woke up today and the first thing i heard was his goddamn drill

I'm blessed with neighbors who have excellent taste in music. When I blast heavy metal they throw rocks at my windows to hear it better :loldog

On a more serious note it's usually quiet around here. Sometimes one of the neighbors makes noise drilling holes. It's fine for the most part since I have a decent pair of headphones. The only times I really don't appreciate the folks I have to deal with is when they choose to use their drill at 7am on a Saturday.

What kind of person does one have to be to think that's acceptable?

It shifts between loud with music and drilling and then just moderate quietude. I used to be pretty paranoid with the hustle and bustle my place had but I've regained so much sense of comfortability recently that I can sleep at night without needing a sleep mask.
I always have one at the nearby just in case though. Best thing I've invested in for years.

Noisy. Have noise-canceling ear buds, thankfully.

One time my neighbor in the apartment next to mine in the building came out of his apartment, and declared, yelling this for all to hear like it was some sort of Dramatic play:

I Can Play My Music
As Loud As I Want To
And If You Have A Problem With That
You Can Go Fxxk Yourself

The way he said it gave me, like, theatrical chills. I still hope he moves out, but he has the voice of a true thespian.

cuz my next door neighbour is a crunt my hifi is going up monday pay day fuck her. USB sticks full of bangerz.

I get some traffic and train sounds, but I've been here for years and don't really hear it anymore. What I do hear is the gd burbies who thunder past my house on their motorcycles in the spring and early summer, for the simple reason if they do it in their own neighborhood people will complain.

Welp my place is always noisy but for some reason it calms me
Yeah in the morning you hear the TV the laundry the cars passing by the people outside and some drills and other machinery i'm a guy who prefers noise over a total dead silence
We went up to Old Mission lighthouse in Traverse City and ended up leaving quite late, well into the night. It's all farmland up there for miles and miles, and when we stopped at a scenic lookout to take a couple of night pics it was dead silent and so peaceful. I've never known a feeling like that since. But on the other hand I'm a city boy at heart and don't know what I'd do if it was quiet all the time. Probably turn my fan up even louder, lol.
