Got a ps2 when it was already cheap and used, and I wanted it just to play FF10 :D Of course after that one I've enjoyed many other games on that wonderful console.

2002, 12 year old me got Dropship United Peace Force and Kingdom Hearts. I didn't know what KH was but I liked the cover art. I didn't even see Donald and Goofy on the cover and didn't know it has something to do with Disney. Also, didn't knew Squaresoft or any of its games back then. Went in blind. Loved the Disney worlds, didn't know the Final Fantasy characters until 4 years later. I knew the characters were from Final Fantasy VII, VIII, IX, X (journal entries) but I didn't know what that meant until 4 years later.

Sonic mega collection and One Piece pirates carnival. The original PS2 the family played on eventually got sold but I was so upset by it that my father bought me my own PS2 and I've kept it ever since. I also somehow got my hands on all three final fantasy 7 disks for twelve bucks.

Resident Evil Code Veronica X - it also had a Devil May Cry 1 demo disc with it. I had a ton of fun playing both back then.
