Crash Twinsanity. but i was super young then. I'd say the first couple games I had that I went to the store to pick out were SSX 3 and Crash of the Titans. Got Titans the day it came out. I still play both of these from time to time, SSX 3 has to be the best snowboarding game.

I got a PS2 on launch day with Smuggler's Run. I remember being absolutely blown away with the graphics and being able to drive seemingly forever in any direction.

Smuggler's Run was a really fun game too. Great launch title.

Owned? Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3. The best game in the series.

This is easy, bought a PS2 in 2000 (was debating between PS2/Xbox, and decided PS2 had a better back catalog with PS1 games. On top of DVD player and didn't need the xbox Dongle to play DVD's).

Bloodrayne & Dark Cloud (bought at the same time).

I swear, half of the available new PS5's come with Horizon Forbidden West.

Unless they fix the Aloy fat model to what it was in the first game, not interested.

If I remember right, it was the original Odin Sphere. Most of the games on the PS2 were my brother's and Odin Sphere is the first one I remember I bought for myself.

Awesome game!

Weirdly enough Devil May Cry. It scared me so bad as a kid I didn't touch the console for like a week and just kept playing my Gameboy Advanced, then I crawled on back and played it properly once I got bored enough.

Hard to really tell. I showed up to my dad's one weekend and he had a PS2 and a handful of games. Kingdom Hearts is the first game I vividly remember playing though that doesn't mean it was the very first I played since that part of my childhood is a bit of a blur.

As far as I can remember I think the first game I got for the ps2 was god of war 2.truly a jewl masterpiece game!

I don't remember at all. It had to have been GTA III, Summoner, or Timesplitters.

One of those 3.

It MIGHT have been Sons Of Liberty. I seem to recall I might have bought the console just for that game?

NBA Live 07 ...
and the guy at GameStop told me I was gonna regret buying it ...
well ... nah I didn't haha ... I mean it was alright though ?‍♂️

gotta be bully, honestly that game fucking rules!

Final Fantasy 7. My family started buying game consoles a little later in my life. So the greatest games of the decade all kinda happened to me all at once. It helped that the ps2 was backwards compatible^^

My first and favorite, I played this thing for hours at a time back in the day.

Before I even owned a PS2 I bought Jak & Daxter: the Precursor Legacy (platinum edition). We had a dedicated TV show at the time that talked about the newest games, movies, and books, and when they showed off J&D my jaw dropped to the floor at the colorful game world, the whimsy sound effects, and the fluid gameplay. To me, it was the textbook definition of a platformer.

If I remember correctly my first PS2 game was Stuart Little 3, out of nostalgia I remember it as an amazing game but I'm sure if I play it now it wouldn't be as good.

It probably was Dynasty Warriors 2. Well, that's the first one I remember playing to death at least.

Lego Racing 2 and Jak & Daxter

Crash Bandicoot: Wrath of the Cortex. It's also the first Crash game I ever had.
