Fantavision. I bought my PS2 at launch but didn't reserve any games. But I had a buddy who worked at a wal-mart electronics department who'd mark stuff down randomly, and so I got a bunch of launch stuff at discount prices, but Fantavision was the first. Not great, not horrible.

Weird choice for a launch title wasnt it?

Usually we got our consoles with more than one game but we also got a Xbox that Christmas, so only one game each(well two for Xbox since it was the JSRF/Sega GT pack)

I'm not 100% certain, but I'm gonna say it was SSX Tricky. Onimusha Warlords was the first game I bought for it second hand from a car-boot sale tho :)

I know I used the money I got from working a summer job during High School and the game I had to have right away was constantly being advertised on tv at the time hyping me up greatly for it, Grand Theft Auto 3. I think I may have also picked up Dark Cloud at the same time.

I believe Gran Turismo 3 was also my first owned PS2 game. It was for me and my older brother, but if I remember right I think the game was bundled with the PS2 slim that we got.

Kind of a funny story attatched to this, but i was with my older brother getting a game from game stop like a couple years back, i believe i was 16 at the time getting SMT 3 with him and we ended up getting mugged at knife point, funnily enough we were flat broke after buying the game so he didn't lose any money or our wallets or anything, though it was a spook for sure, he ended up stealing what little we had on us which was SMT 3 and some other junk, so first ps2 game i owned was SMT 3, first one i actually got to play was digital devil saga lol

My parents and my grandparents bought me Prince Of Persia for the PS2 for Christmas, I fondly remember my grandmother who passed away since then, laughing and saying "Sorry for getting the same game as your parents". The magic of opening up the blue box... and firing up the Prince Of Persia for the first time was the best console experience
