Windows 95 I spent SO much time playing the point and click titles from humongous games as a kid

Actual first was whatever ran on the Apple II GS machines in my grade school's computer lab. I still can't believe that was an actual class we had, though of course we were only there for some edutainment games. That I had the same computers in middle school when the other grades had access to Windows PCs was interesting, especially since when moving up to 8th, the administration swapped which classes had access to which machines which meant I still could only use the II GSes.

For home computing, Windows 3.11. The extra .01 made all the difference in the world.

Windows 2000 in 2007.
Dad built that PC for my grandma for simple tasks, Win2000 was already pretty outdated but it worked for her needs.

Then we built a PC in 2008 for ourselves. Windows XP.
It had a Core 2 Duo, Nvidia GPU (possibly a 8800GT), 1GB of RAM and 160GB HDD.
We beat so many games on that thing. It was my main PC until 2014, and we never switched from XP until I got my first laptop that year with Windows 8.

At school I had always used Linux though, Linux Educacional 3.0, based on Ubuntu.
In 2016 I decided to try Kubuntu at home and fell in love. Been using Linux since then.

Damn as the younger generation i'm ashamed that the first OS that i have was Windows XP. '>'

My first OS was xp as well ^_^ I'm not ashamed of my age, but that my first os was windows because now I am a huge windows and microsoft hater Once a friend introduced me to linux, my only experience with windows is when a nuke it and install linux

At least that's the first one I owned, I used XP on the public school computers before then.

Technically it was whatever Atari 800 ran on. But I suppose DOS and Windows 3.1
I also used a tandy in school, but I don't actually remember what OS they used. it was similar to DOS as I recall.
