Mine are goulash (beef stew with potatoes), homade beans (beans with creamy delicious stew like sauce), homade soup, spaghetti bolognese, pasta carbonara.

What are yours? I am looking forward to hearing some of your most yummy meals!

Tortas Fritas!

They are my favourite snack in the world! They are basically just bread dough fried in lard. My grandma teached me how to make them as a child and I have been working really hard to perfect the recipe but It still is nowhere good as the ones I used to eat back then. It is a tradition in my household to make some everytime it rains.

I don't really have a recipe as I kinda just wing it but it can be found really easily on the web.

It is extremely cheap and easy, pretty much just mix flour, salt, water, 4 spoonful of melted lard, shape them and then fry them until they look like in the picture.

(Pic not mine but they pretty much look like that)

Food thread, food thread, food thread!

I don't think I'd be able to pick a single favourite, but I know what my go-to is when I feel like making something fancy and delicious for my friends. I make one absolute hell of a (Mushroom) Risotto!

Also just a really satisfying dish to make - the longer you work on it and massage the starch out of the rice, the better it becomes, plain and simple.

Pizza.
Simple recipe, roll out the pizza dough, spread the pizza sauce, sprinkle some pizza cheese and pizza toppings, heat it up in pizza oven, and you got yourself a pizza.

i dont really cook from recipes, but my favorite dishes are typically really rich special treat type meals. i love a good beef stew. of the things i cook, i'm probably most proud of my pork gyoza since the recipe is mostly improvised and took a long time to put together.

Damn bro, that Adobo looks tasty

Fun fact bro do you know that Adobo came from a Spanish dish called ‘Adobado’ which is a way of pickling the meat for at least 2 weeks.
As you know my country beca a colony of for 300 years (1500s-1800s) so my ancestors learned the recipe and gave a twist, they say ‘screw the pickled meat ‘ we’re gonna our own version of it. So what they did is they skip pickling process and they cooked it directly like a stew.

I can't Cook for the life of me but I will proudly say that my Grandparents, my Mom and my Sister makes a killer Sinigang weather it's Pork, Shrimp, Chicken or Beef!

Do you have a specific Adobo recipe you could recommend? I tried making Chicken Adobo once, but I must have messed something up, mine came out super dry. Would love to try an actually authentic version!
