For me, it's gotta be Batrider, DoDonPachi Daifukkatsu, Deathsmiles and Parodius (shout out to Caladrius). I am a big CAVE and Raizing!!!!

Oh right, how could I forget to mention a great little indie (and free!) shmup, Cho Ren Sha for the Sharp 68k computer? There is a port for Windows on the dev's website, he still updates the thing to this day.

I firmly believe it's one of Cave's best.

I like the bug theme (it was apparently meant to be a Nausicaa video game) and the easier access for newcomers.

How about Ibara, what do you think especially the PS 2 version of ibara where we use male Main characters instead which in my opinion is less great in all ibara series?
I rarely see someone mention this, but actually ibara is my first favorite cave games before the others.

I'm sadly not as fan as others. Ibara and Mushi mushi pork are too different feeling.
