  • Lumines is one of the most addictive puzzle games ever.
  • Adventures to Go! is a cute little sort-of-roguelike.
  • Kenka Bancho: Badass Rumble is too funny.
  • Puzzle Guzzle is a super cute-looking versus-puzzler.
  • Wild Arms XF is a surprisingly great SRPG.
  • Rengoku II is like an Armored Core roguelike.
  • Gladiator Begins has immensely satisfying combat.
  • Ridge Racer 2 is an all-timer.

Tons of weapons, satisfying combat.
Have you tried the Japanese exclusive expanded version?

I would've loved a proper PC port of Infinity but thankfully PPSSPP can replicate 60FPS1080P.
Yes, 60fps cheat makes the game even more banger. Believe it or not I play the game using mouse and keyboard , also applied some graphical effects to the game such as bloom, sharpen, and fxaa. it's basically a pc port lol.

Not yet, because I'm still busy collecting rare A and S weapons and armors in psp2 lol. I've heard some great stuff about Infinity like they add more weapons and stuff, I'll def try it next.

My picks would have to be armored core 3/silent line portable, ace combat x, and mgs: peace walker.

They're easy to pick up/put down and home console quality, so that's why I chose them. I wish I had more to say about these games.

I really need to replace my psp screen, it's so old all my games are viewed through a yellow filter.

Well, personally they are
  1. Monster Hunter freedom unite
  2. Monster Hunter portable 3rd
  3. God eater burst
  4. God eater 2
  5. Phantasy star portable 2
  6. Phantasy star portable 2 infinity
  7. Crisis core: final fantasy vii
Yeah that's all I can remember now

I'm a huge fan of the portable. On my favorites list there must be Kingdom Hearts Birth Of Sleep. Danganronpa and Persona series are also essential. I still need to play the most popular games like Jeanne D'Arc and the Ys franchise (I tried playing some games from the franchise but I wasn't engaged by it). In your opinion, which games peaked during the PSP era?
Normally this would be when I snap and name a whole bunch of games, but I'm gonna be like nah and list 10 games instead cause I just wrote a list.

Ridge Racer 2, Final Fantasy Type 0, Outrun 2006, Mega Man Powered Up, Metal Slug XX, Maverick Hunter X, Knights in the Nightmare, 7th Dragon 2020, Ace Combat X, and Black Rock Shooter

God I'd give ANYTHING for a modern port of this with online. So hard to convince my PSO friends to actually hop onto PPSSPP to play together and even when you do it has some issues. Spent so much time grinding PSP1 with friends back in the day but I was only able to really play PSP2 alone.

Ridge Racers (called Ridge Racer in the U.S.) is a PSP game in the Ridge Racer series that was a launch game for the console… and it’s incredible. It’s my favorite game on the system and is what I play most of the time. It’s SO FUN and very chilled out. Amazing vibes for a sick racing game. Still looks great on an actual system as well, because old Namco was nuts.

Other great games I love are Loco Roco, Mega Man Powered Up, and Dragon Ball Z: Tenkaichi Tag Team.

I haven't dabbled too much into its library, so I'll rattle off all I've played.

::megadancebabyI was a big fan of the series. I've beaten both Legacy Collections and 11 multiple times, so when I got my hands on this, I was thrilled. Was not disappointed

Had a friend who was super into the series, and eventually got me in on it as well. Although I didn't play the OG version, I played the Anniversary Edition when it was on Game Pass. It was confusing at first, but I loved the thrill of completing it (I had watched the anime as well, so I had a good idea of what to do).

I was introduced to the series when Joker was announced for Fighter's Pass, and was interested in getting into the series. I wanted to look at where it first started, and another friend of mine pointed me towards the PSP version. Of course, I was curious about the PS1 version, but I later learned of its botched localization.
I wanted to add Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment, but I haven't gone very far in either of them.

Glad to see someone else appreciate the more unique Persona (1 and 2)! Sad to see that P2 developed a real unique RPG personality, only to be overridden by 3+...
