Most of those are games I used to play years ago on original hardware and have fond memories of. There's a bunch of other cool, obscure titles that I've been exploring recently through emulation as well as some good rom hacks like Ninja Gaiden III Restoration Plus

I like a lot of them, most of the ones listed already I would put in my top lists. But the game that's always at number 1 for me is Bionic Commando. A platformer where you can't jump is just very fascinating to me, and getting good at the swinging is very satisfying.

Dr. Mario & Kirby's Adventure immediately pop out to me as some of my favorites.

The big ones aside:

1. MOTHER, The very first Earthbound game i played, rough around the edges there are patches that round those, up to this day i still hum the Eight Melodies while making myself breakfast
2. Rockin Kats, a goofy platformer with the weapon being ny favorite cartoon trope: those gloves fueled by a spring, for the record, this game beat Sonic to the "Mascot with attitude" for six months
3. Little Samson, the annoying shot noise aside, i love this game, the graphics made me question if i was playing a NES game at times, and all of the four PCs are useful
4. The Guardian Legend, Zelda and Gradius got a baby and this is the result, an excellent game with its only caveat being pretty long passwords
5. Bonk's Adventure, a goofy ass caveman defeats an army lead by a giant reptile before Donkey Kong made it mainstream
6. And lastly Crystalis, my very first ARPG, love the music, the gameplay and Lore, i has memorized it so much i has beaten it in a single sitting
