Your favorite Aesthetic Year Era ?

not gonna be original but i'm gonna say the 90's too.

it was just a different time.

everything was over the top, edgy and at the same time it felt natural.

the aestetics looks ultra futuristic too.

When it comes to games the aestheic era I enjoy is the 80-90s animes style like Ys book I and and II or Xak and so on that style.

When it comes to real non games well the 1800s style gothic style aka old classic vampire with fine cloths and top hats.

Or if we speak what if´s real life I would stay steam punk .

Late 90s to early 2000s Y2K aesthetic for sure. It was around that era that I first got introduced to the internet and I have a deep nostalgia for it as a response.

Every era has things deemed positive or negative.

Japanese entertainment from the end of the last century had a vision akin to the 'Old Testament', where God can create life, but also destroy it under specific conditions. This also represents a Sapiens and its life, which is made of both lights and shadows coexisting in synergy within the same body.

Today however everything is so puritanical that it no longer has any flavor (modern 'Dragon Ball' doesn't even have blood or bruises and Ranma Saotome has lost his nipples), at the same time, the storage media of the past were abysmal compared to what can be done today (VHS vs. BD).

If we pretended that time travel really existed, I would probably go to work for a high salary in Japan just as the economic bubble was being born; the era when Toriyama Akira's works made their debut and 'Jump' grew with every passing week; the country taking control of video games rising through everything from the Famicom onwards and the Arcades that were still alive and buzzing.

Works that encapsulated that historical period well that come to mind are 'High Score Girl' and 'GTO' (even if they focus mostly on the 90s).

Anyway once the early 2000s arrive you'll head back to the present, because fuck reliving that apocalypse of puritanism we are still currently in all over again (not to mention video games taking 10 years of development to be released in an incomplete state and if they fail the company and their families are fucked, but also having to put up with 'One Piece' and its fandom :loldog ).

I loved the 80's/90's radical art with primary colors and experimentation with shapes and angles. I also loved the future aesthetics of the 00's. Transparent tech, colorful peripherals, and fun fashion designs with odd materials, angles and "futuristic" styles. I also really enjoyed the rave and dance fashions and I adore vintage CGI. The anime aesthetic was pretty flames as well.

I really liked the various futuristic aesthetics of the 2000s like Y2K Futurism (top) and Fruitiger Aero (bottom), which evoke a sense of excitement and optimism for the advancement of technology, something I still hang on to despite how gloomy things seem at the moment.

I'm also quite fond of what's been deemed "older brother core", which consists of a lot of stuff associated with a stereotypical teenage guy in the 2000's. It's dumb but it feels genuine and loud in its slight cringe, like you might be copying stunts off of Jackass you shouldn't, but you're doing it together. Certainly preferable to everyone trying so hard not to be cringe that they have the personality of a wet towel.

Ohhhh I've been LOVING frutiger aero. I love love love Vaporwave but frutiger has been really calling me.

Early web 2.0 webside design. It still can't be matched by modern JS/HTML5 slop. Tell me that I'm wrong.
You are wrong..well I don't really care but you wanted someone to tell you are wrong so your welcome I guess.
:)
Also the 90-2005 ish era was nice and so where the 80 and 60 and 70s hey not my fault I like those eras blame Retro Futurism for that.

There's a lot that appealed to me in the 90s/00s, particularly ones that were mentioned here already, but for some reason I can never shake the 00s Square Enix aesthetic. Things like Kingdom Hearts, Crystal Chronicle, the Bouncer. It's such a fantastic blend of kinda cool and hilariously stupid at the same time. It always sturs up a conversation with with people who know of it.

Like, look at this. I love how cool Luso looks, especially with the backup sword sword on his hip. But also, bro is your sword made of acrylic? Is it like a laserdisc player or something? Why do you have a pizza in your pouch?

2000s to early 2010s sense I have the most loved memories in that era if that’s a way to put it

So flat design, text only, no icons, no gradients, just fancy animations is superior? Got it.
