Yo dudes whats the literal worst game u played in ur entire life (everything but not mobile games)

Couldn't say the worst one I've tried cause I've tried probably a thousand games in my life, but the worst I can think that I actually beat might be the Devil Hunter Yohko game on the Genesis. I really like old-school side-scrollers but this one controls badly and is full of horrible level design where you die because you can't see where to go next or where the threats are coming from.

Throwing in another shout out for the DS version of Sonic 1.

Just an aweful fucking port.
Really? And i thought its alright but not as bad as the gba port (i didnt even think of it being a bad port cuz i just didnt wanna play the sega genesis or mobile version)

Ninja Turtles on the C64, it is the same as the NES one, it is such a disappointing Game.
I tried to like it as very young Kid, but couldn't.

Batman Forever on the Super Nintendo is a very bad one, i bet it only got Sales, because People had the very good Batman Forever in Mind.
They really used the Mortal Kombat Engine to make this Game, it was a Cashgrab from Williams.

Hulk on the Super Nintendo is also not very good.
Gods, it is not good.
A Dinosaur Story, pretty bad Game.

The three have just bad Game Design.

Now comes one People will kill me for:
I don't think the Lion King is good Game, it has the typical european Game Design Flaws of its Time.
Music good, Graphics, but Gameplay? Nah.
But it is my go to Game to look out for Dithering Filters.

The worst game that I ever played is YOUR FAVORITE GAME. That's right, it's the worst one I've ever played.

But for real I've dived down deep in the mines of total trash with emulation, but the one that always comes to mind is still Superman 64. I played it back when it was still new-ish on the N64 with some friends and we never got past the second stage where you had to grab a car.

Surprised to see nobody else posted it yet, but also it seems we all have suffered through some of the other classic trash.

Also I saw a lot of people post about Batman Forever, but I have a strange affection for that game. I mean, it totally sucks, but because I played it as a small child I have a fondest for it. The versus mode in it is functional enough! That being said, the furthest I ever get is the timed bomb stage in a circus level and then I always run out of time and lose.

Define terrible i guess.
If we're going by sheer shoddy job making, sonic genesis on the gba,

If you want my opinion on the worst game i played due to my dislike of it, unlimited saga.

Hmmmm... I've declined to play tons of titles in the first 5 minutes of test, sometimes for its graphics, or its music, or due to a horrible control or bad gameplay mechanics, so the worst one I continued playing (even I thought it was pure shit) was Rival Turf from SNES.
I still was a small kid back then, the graphics were not so bad and the music and sound effects were from O.K. to good, but the hit boxes, the priority and speed of the enemies and bosses over you and the extremely poor moveset of the characters made that the whole game never captivated me enough... I just kept playing it because I was invited several days at a neighbor's home who wanted to play coop and beat the fucking game, and that made it easier to bear the torture. But it's probably the worst beat-em-up I've not quit playing in my whole life.

Jurassic Park Interactive on 3DO

It just, a terrible group of sub-par (bare minimum) mini-games. Even coming in with low expectations since it was based upon a film- truly one of the worst games I've played in my entire life.

another contender is Wild Metal Country on Dreamcast that left me massively disappointed with its slow combat and dull gameplay.

The Crow: City of Angels for the Sega Saturn is genuinely the worst game I have ever fucking played.
the-crow.jpg

Now, there's a lot of stinkers out there. You got stuff like Big Rigs: Over The Road Racing, which is so bad that it's funny. Maybe FlatOut 3, a game that was so poorly made that it's core mechanics are broken.
But The Crow has those game beat, because nothing in this game is broken. All the mechanics work exactly how they should, but it doesn't stop it from being an absolute fucking shitwreck of a game with the most mind-numbingly boring gameplay loop.
The whole fucking game consists of you attempting to steer this wooden log with clown make-up while you beat up the same looking dudes over and over again until your disc rots away.
I do not mind tank controls, quite the opposite in fact. I love tank controls, they're a fantastic choice for horror games like Resident Evil or Silent Hill but can someone please tell me, what other Beat-em Up game forces you to use god damn TANK CONTROLS.
Every single time there's a dude behind you hitting you in the back of your dumb little head, you gotta slowly turn your gargoyle statue body around so he punches your face instead until you could actually fight back. Pissing on rocks is more entertaining.

Any FIFA

I cannot believe people actually collect them as shown below.

marketplace horror.png

Let alone anyone purchasing them all, like they are actual different games.

Dude there are so many games to play available if you look around Marketplace, just how do they think anyone will want 6 FIFA games?

I swear 99% of them are just asset flips or cheap meaningless gags to get idiots to drop 50p a pop on the most low-effort drivel you can find.
I have read that those are made for cheap Achievement Farming.
Apparently there is a whole sector of Steam that competes to see who has the bigger... achievement size. So they farm games that give you trophies for pressing right left right left, etc.

Yeah you can sort of tell by the reviews going on about easy cards and achievements.

Seems dumb to me. I love achievements in games cus they're like an optional extra to collect in games you love. Farming pointless ones seems like a great way to waste time you could be spending playing games that are actually fun.

Exactly. Go grind an actual RPG instead of meaningless Pay-To-Win stats.

ET on Atari 2600, i play the game and it was horrible, from graphics to the controller..even if the game is listed on retroachievement.org i wouldn't recommend playing it, there a lot more better game to play then that.
My cousin actually had this back in the day. Like most of the games he owned, the box and manual had been quickly discarded. I came to learn later if you read the book that you could actually figure out how to play this. However, at the time, we had no clue. Playing it went like this:
  • Launch the game
  • Wow, cool title screen! Amazing for the 2600
  • Start the game
  • ET is in a field with a bunch of little pits
  • Walk around, the terrible hit detection makes you fall into a pit
  • You can press a button to make ET elongate his neck, fly and rise up out of the pit
  • Some guys start chasing ET
  • Fall in the pit again
  • Run out of energy, die
  • Eject the game and play COMBAT instead
We could never make heads or tails of it. We were used to some cryptic games on the 2600, but this was an all-new height. It was funny to watch all the stories come out years later and remember my own experiences with it.

Barrier (1978). I hate this game so much it’s so awesome. I was cracking up when I first tried it. The obstacles move instantly, in one frame, to another space without any sort of pattern or visual cue for where they’ll end up next (usually in the same spot as you, killing you). A lot of times they’ll all line up like red rover so you can’t fucking pass, and they move erratically so you have to wait for a chance to “just scoot past ya” like you’re waiting for someone to move out of the way in public. There’s very little sense of progression or accomplishment. I hate it.

52 games on an NES cartridge? 😰
Yeah, and they all suck. Not to mention the $200 USD price tag, and that was $200 USD in 1991. Adjusted for inflation that would be $475 USD today.

Imagine dropping $25 short of a PS5 on 52 games and they either suck so bad they're unplayable or they just plain don't work.

Castlevania The Adventure

Shit was so bad i had to play a hacked version with enchanced perfomance and better controls to make it bearable, which made the game go from frustrating to just boring.

The sequel was a MASSIVE Improvement.

I have played other bad games like MMX7 and Mario is Missing, but CVTA is the only i have actually beat.

Agony and suffering :-(

I've been around the block and have played a LOT of really bad games, from games for the Amiga all the way up to present day. A lot of them are awful but still have a certain level of charm which makes me not hate them but many are so bad, I want to forget them. And in that list, some always remain in my mind regardless because they were just THAT DAMN BAD!!

Games like Captain Planet and the planeteers on the NES!!!
Or James Bond Jr on the SNES
Or Sword of Sodan on the MD/Genesis

But if you want a relatively recent one, I present Hyperdimension Neptunia on the PS3!!

This game was all kinds of awful and it's a miracle that such a strong series came from this abomination. This game is so bad, the company remade it later on and basically scrubbed this version out of existence!

performance-wise, the game struggled to maintain 30fps at any point.

Gameplay-wise, the system didn't allow you to use items directly, you had to set up rules so that the characters would use items when certain criteria are met, such as if the HP of a character falls below 50%, use healing item X. Or if character is KO'd, use resurrection item.

That in itself was awkward, especially since there was no other way to heal or resurrect your characters but the real kick in the teeth was that you could not use items outside of battle! I repeat, you cannot use items OUTSIDE OF BATTLE!!
So if your team needed healing, you had to go into a fight and risk further damage and KO to heal your characters!!!

The game was also a huge grindfest if you wanted the "true" ending...

Secret Agent Files: Miami for the 3DS. It was completely and utterly nonsensical in how it worked (you had to hotwire a vehicle with no instructions on how, and it didn't even matter because if you failed it you automatically proceeded), on top of just...not saying it's a hidden object game at any point. I spent five minutes figuring that out, because the game and the eshop page didn't say that. The writing is also terrible, having the least sympathetic main characters with the least believable romance I've seen this side of Rance, and you could at least argue that Rance is fun about how horrible a person he is. It also ripped off Burn Notice, apparently. The visuals and music looked and sounded like they'd be on the GBA, not two generations ahead of it.

It was so bad that I tried getting a refund (obviously, I couldn't), and I refused to tell anyone about it solely so they wouldn't buy it even out of morbid curiosity. I'm only doing it now because the eshop is closed.

Nothing beats The Evil Within as the worst I've ever play
View attachment 57848
I relly enjoyed what i played of it but i got stuck and gave up at some point
Post automatically merged:

Black mesa its basically just half-life 1 but worse in every way. Every time i hear someone talk about the game i feel like an insane person because its so obviously worse than the original but it seems to get nothing but praise.
