Xenosaga Pied Piper This is a fan-recreation of Xenosaga Pied Piper, which originally released in Japan in 2004 for mobile devices. Xenosaga as well as all contained characters and stories are property of Bandai Namco. This fan-recreation is purely made out of passion for the franchise and is meant both for Xenosaga fans who have had no chance of playing the original release of Pied Piper as well as attracting new fans to Bandai Namco's Xenosaga. You can either download the game on Windows PCs or Mac OS, or simply play it in your browser on itch.io. For shorter loading times, […]

Joi
Is this game gamehubable or winlatorable? :d?
Made on RPG maker? Does it needs the Run-Time Package too? Most RMK games I've played require it, if he plans to play on a Android emulator the RTP might also be mandatory regardless because I believe Joiplay Emulator straight up won't run rpgmaker games without it
Either GameHub to emulate the x86 environment or JoiPlay to inteprete the RPGMaker engine runs this perfectly on Android. I have the game configured and running on my AYN Thor right now.

I saw! I'm gonna be patient and wait for the full translation before jumping in. Don't wanna screw up and lose my save file like I did constantly updating princess crown 😂

It says Failed Virus Scan intially and now it says Needs permission to download on second and third attempt on downloading. Same when I turned off my anti-virus and VPN. Any fixes?

Vector is working on this as we speak. They released a beta patch today where 3 chapters are translated, so far

If its using RPG maker like others are suggesting then you can also likely run it using an app, since there's various projects for running RPGmaker games on android. That said, it probably works on either of those.

Me still hoping someone finishes translating the xenosaga ds port... Because somehow the demake is the superior version of the games.

I don't know if this is RPG Maker or not. I just made an observation based on screenshots and the fact that it has touch screen/mouse clicks like RMK MV does. It could be a custom game engine for all I know, I didn't even download the game. If it is RPG Maker MV then Joiplay will be able to play it after some tinkering.

i wish we could play this with a scanlines shader in some sort. Anyone knows how? Is retroarch can play this kind of .exe games?
RetroArch can't play this kind of game, but you can play it with Windows and use ShaderGlass to apply various filters to it. ShaderGlass works with everything imaginable and has a ton of filters (with a lot of them being filters taken from RetroArch) It just takes a lot of configuring first in order for it to look how you want.

Thanks for the share. Always knew about Pied Piper & others since I went down that Xenosaga rabbithole a long time ago... but never knew there was fan recreation AND translation! Nice.

On my Xenosaga trilogy playthroughs, I advise anyone dive into it know the summary about this game & Xenosaga Missing Year.
I watched both on YouTube & it gave greater context to Xenosaga's Episode III.
Might be not the best to experience it, but I felt complete after watching those two before playing Episode III.

Touch controls? Seems like they used RPG Maker MV to make this. I could be wrong but that version allows for mouse clicks/touch controls
