Xbox 360 recompiling tools have released, allowing for fanmade PC ports!

This thread has been already opened.
Duplicate threads are not allowed but neither have much activity so I’ll keep this open for now. Please check if a thread was already created before making a new one, cheers ?

It can be merged?
It can ?
Haven’t done it before, still trying to find the action. No other mods have been online for the past few days so it’s difficult to consult them.
Easy issue though ?

Sorry for the trouble, then. I tried looking for any other thread mentioning this, but I guess I failed at that horribly.

tbf, all I want is to finally play Hokuto Musou on PC, no matter how lukewarm the games actually are... and this method seems to be a lot more efficient than emulation (although it requires expertise I do not possess)

No, you’re perfectly fine, no trouble at all. I actually found it fun learning how to merge threads so it all worked out, cheers ::thumbsupwario

I like the hokuto mosous a lot, some of Koei’s best stuff for sure

Then you should rather emulate the game.

I mean yeah, P-06 will probably never have hubs nor side missions in those hubs but you're not losing anything not doing these but only the action stages.
That was kind of my point: I don't want just the action stages or "only the good bits". It's not regret, it's curiosity. I'm a late-bloomer Sonic fan who can't be bothered to find a copy, and enjoys playing bad games with friends (and sometimes without); can't help it, and trust me, I've tried.

I'll look into 360 emulation. I'd always assumed I'd have trouble with performance, since this PC is getting ancient by the minute, so that might be a whole... thirty minutes to an hour that I could lose. I expect compensation, of course. ::whatashame

Either way, I'll probably be playing the game another time over when the recompilation drops. And knowing Sonic fans...

I totally understand that feeling, I ended up emulating 2006 after finishing P-06 (after the Silver Update so I basically finished 85% of the game already).

To be fair I played the original Genesis Sonic games enough times already so I'm fine playing them in Origin or the Recompilation with a mod (Forever for Sonic 1, Absolute for Sonic 2, Angel Island Revisited for Sonic 3&K and Miracle Edition for Sonic CD) or romhacks (Sonic 3 Complete, Sonic Classic Heroes and Sonic 3D Blast Director's Cut).

Self-taught myself now. Merged successfully, cheers ::thumbsupwario

Database-wise I'd think it's just appending the new thread post ID's to the old one, then making the newer (duplicate) thread name invisible, when safe then deleted... I think...

Ya'll need to chill. Hate to rain on your parade, but you really should curb your enthusiasm. From what I saw on Github, we're so, so, SO far away from getting any ports besides, well, Sonic Unleashed. This stuff ain't no "drag & drop -> it just works". Not a single port, not even close. People are stumped with this tool.

I noticed that.

Still, progress is progress.

Didn’t realized this wasn’t stickied already. I stickied it now.

I just want a PC port of N3: Ninety Nine Nights.

I know it's just an off-brand 'warriors' game but god damn I played this fucker to death.

I'm gonna assume it's not as simple as turning OG Xbox games into PC ports is but I might muck around with the tool a little later to see how it all works out.

Oh and while I'm at it, a PC port of Silent Hill: Downpour would also be nice.

I hope this means that people who are smarter than me would be able to port both Ninety Nine Night games to PC.
