Edge from Azel: Panzer Dragoon RPG/Panzer Dragoon Saga, it's even worse because everybody pronounces it as "Edgy" on the cutscenes.
Oh also Joran in Xenoblade 3. It sounds like people are always yelling "URINE!"
I always read it as KrillKrile from Final Fantast 5. I looked it up and in Japanese it was Kururu, like the fairy puppet sidekick in Rhapsody. I can see how it got mangled. But it does not look right. Why not go with Kira or Kiri, Kalli or something like that instead? I don't even know how I'm supposed to pronounce it. Poor kid.![]()
It’s Doh-gee I’m pretty sureDogi from from the YS series. (Dougie or Doggie?)

Dogi
Dogi's the name, and wall-crushing's my game. Pleased to meet ya'! ~ Dogi Dogi (ドギ?) (pronounced as "Dohggy") is Adol Christin's long-time companion and best friend, the blue-haired kindly giant with a knack for crushing walls (or boulders) with his bare hands. Esty Dee is entirely the fault of the localizers making her name sound like S.T.D.Always thought Shulk was a pretty wacky name for a JRPG protagonist, but I don't know that anything will ever beat one of my favorite Atelier Rorona characters, Esty Dee.

Was it a tongue-in-cheek joke or Japanese devs being oblivious to English, who can say? But for a character named STD she (fittingly?) sure packs a punch.

I think that was made on purposeDarkdeath Evilman
When I first saw that the brother's name was Culotte I laughed so hard
As a french speaker, almost all of the characters from La Pucelle have ridiculous namesWhen I first saw that the brother's name was Culotte I laughed so hard

Dogi is a term used in 2 ways, for lords of italy (kinda like duke) and more likely in his case, for a type of karate gi, it's also a legitimate name, a south korean competitive e-sports gamer has the name Do Gi-chen, so yeah.Dogi from from the YS series. (Dougie or Doggie?)
Dough-gi, yeahIt’s Doh-gee I’m pretty sure
Cletus is the type of name you'd give to a hillbilly wearing a racoon pelt with a deep southern drawl, a banjo, a tractor trailer, and probably a missing tooth/buck teeth. Oh and they'd be from Texas, Missouri, Mississippi, or Kentucky.dragons dogma 2 generates some weird ones, I am almost certain I got one named "cletus" or something similar that didn't fit the theme of the game
