It might be me, but this trailer didn't have anything particularly exciting beyond "Hey it's Wolverine!"

PlayStation is really up shitcreek when they can't even make a good trailer for their next big game for their $950 premium box.

I wasn't going to post about this, but there is people here interested in the game. And I'm sorry I come across as negative, but outside of graphics this doesn't look any better than X-Men Origins: Wolverine and that game came out 2 freaking generations ago!

Does anybody seriously get excited about Marvel games, movies or shows?

It’s crazy these games are well past the $100 million budget range (with marketing included) when recent pokemon or animal crossing games barely go past $10 million (not counting marketing though I think) but a marvel game like this without the budget seems like an average ps2 tie in game, to me at least.

Spider-Man 2 (ps5) rumoured to being roughly $315 million ($90mil to make) is absolute insanity to me if it’s true. There should be a $100mil ban on projects for a while to force devs into developing artistically instead of chasing computing power. And honestly I think marketing has been horrendous and ineffective for a long time both artistically and cost wise, it needs a massive reinvention.

Edit: for some reason I said just computing power when I really mean over scaling, like too much graphics, music, areas, etc. :p

Sure looks like a video games cutscene.

Phooey Insomniac's been relegated to Marvel stuff...

OMG! It's the most cliche thing ever.

It honestly feels like The Onion or College Humor should be posting this.

And i was foolish for thinking this was a step up for AAA games. I forgot that Sony is behind this

Lame. Unbelievably lame. Melodramatic whingeing from Logan over impactless fighting, where every named character has an "MCU-12-squillion-panel-line-Kevlar" suit. Just utterly insipid.

Insomniac had it right with their first Spider-Man game. Except for one tiny change that they made due to a money man worrying about "brand integrity" or some such bullshit. Ever since then they've gone downhill and redone the same "Friend to nemesis" story two more times, but worse.

Also why does wild man Victor Creed, The Sabertooth have a pristine Avengers style costume?! No fur or torn cloth? What a waste.

And the enemies seem to often have prostethics, so Wolverine can do some dismembering without actual members flying off... 😂

Totally, and they don't even do in game dismemberment. Its a scripted takedown. Which is like a cherry on top of the lame Sundae.
