PlayStation's servers seem to be down again. For how long?! Who knows?
In PlayStation's inevitable pursuit of player trends, and bigger revenue, this is a critical issue capable of ending Its high tech future.
Digital licenses for entertainment can't be checked, online games can't be played, or can with severe limitations, and cloud gaming is out of the question, so is the PS Portal, as well. The PlayStation console loses many, or all, of its uses.
But this promises to be even worse if PlayStation, to sidestep balooning hardware prices, forces PS6 games to be played with help from cloud services.
The Sony patent, titled "Asset Streaming System and Method," balances both approaches, leading to smaller PS5 and PS6 game installations. Executables would run on a console,
And what makes it even worse is the fact that PlayStation's communication to customers is so shit. They seem unable to give actually useful responses to users' issues, barely even acknowledging problems on their end at best.

Sony patent could dramatically downsize PS5 and PS6 games, addressing high SSD prices
Despite advancements, cloud gaming still has downsides compared to playing titles locally. A Sony patent balances both approaches, leading to smaller PS5 and PS6 game installations. Executables would run on a console, minimizing latency and the need for storage upgrades.
