Wishlist of games you wish got translated

I wish PSO2 had a single player spinoff taking the first 3 Episodes...

I don't like what it became starting by Episode 4...
Ep 1-3 was great, 4 was stupid anime, 5 was even dumber.
Episode 6 was a return to form and great, but that still was 2-3 years of utterly boring and insanely childish content.

I'm still mad at Episode 5 because they brought back classic PS characters and medieval elements (as the franchise was also known for: mixing sci-fi with fantasy) yet fumbled it.

I'd love to see an actual comeback or semi-comeback to Algol in the same way PSU brought back Ragol from PSO.

Some of these have people working on translations already (either actively or at one point had someone who said they were), but I can think of a few games I would love full translations of:
Devil Summoner (Saturn or PSP, not picky)
Giten Megami Tensei (PC98 would be preferred but Windows would be fine too)
Popful Mail (PC88, although a retranslation of the Sega CD one would be cool too. Frankly, retranslations of anything Working Designs touched will be lauded as works of heroes by me)
Sorcerian (PC88 for all the extra stuff that's not in the DOS release)
Dinosaur
Majin Tensei: Blind Thinker
Last Bible: New Testament Trilogy

The coverart image of Soukaigi

In no particular order, here are a few that I'd really like to see and why:

  • Madou Monogatari (Saturn)
I like both Puyo and the Saturn quite a bit and therefore want to play this one.

  • Dragon Quest IV (PS1)
Translation work is technically already done thanks to the English mobile version, which was a port of the DS version which was a port of this PS1 version.

  • Click Medic (PS1)
This is the only Game Freak game to not be available in English that requires reading to fully enjoy. I recently went on a non-Pokémon GF game marathon but had to skip this one due to the language barrier.

  • Time Twist (FDS)
I want this one mainly for the novelty of it. I won't spoil it here, but if you know, you know.

  • Metal Slader Glory: Director's Cut (SFC)
Seeing as how the original Famicom release got two separate fan translations a little while back, I'd like to now see what this DX version has to offer.
Thoughts?

Shadowrun on the Mega CD

These are 3 different games!

Shadowrun (SNES)
Shadowrun (Genesis)
Shadowrun (Mega CD)

The biggest draw of the Mega CD Shadowrun is the story, which of course is going to be completely lost on anyone who doesn’t speak Japanese.

What's the total word count of Mega CD Shadowrun?

Danball Senki Boost! W and Wars also but no idea how much harder 3ds hacking would be. There's a partial patch for Boost but the people working on it lost interest. Iirc they posted all of the resources to finish translating it for anyone interested when they stopped.

dynasty warriors gundam reborn and samurai warriors spirit of Sanada for PS vita
these are not retro games but I drop their names when ever I can
Spirit of sanada is available in English for other systems I believe. Dunno about gundam reborn. I mainly emulated dynasty warriors gundam 2 on ps2. It was ok.

I am fully aware that you can play them on other platforms, but here is the thing I really want them on my vita, and there is no need for translation actually, I just wish some one patch the ps3 translations into the ps vita versions like gintama rumble and dragon quest heroes 2, I would have done it myself if I knew how
welp, that's my Christmas wish

Thats fair, I see what you mean

1. Sound Novel Evolution Otogirisou -Sosei Hen- (PSX) - a remake of Otogirisou for PlayStation. I know SFC version was translated but PSX version has cool QoL updates like a proper flowchart. Soundtrack is amazing!

2. Sound Novel Portable Machi -Unmei no Kousaten Tokubetsu Hen- (PSP). It has most content, even if it has some censorship it's the definitive version of Machi at the moment but it also has over 9000 tons of text to translate - this is THE game I want to see in English one day....

3. TIME TRAVELERS (PSP, PSVita & 3DS) - there is (was?) a project for this, but it has been very, very silent for several years... I have played a few chapters on 3DS and this is a marvelous game with very good soundtrack by Hideki Sakamoto

Sadly I heard this game is impossible to translate because of how text is displayed and the game wasnt't very good to begin with.

Twilight Syndrome and Moonlight Syndrome
The Kenka Banchou games; we only got the 3rd one
The other ps1 Shin Megami Tensei games
The hole Kenka Banchou game need a fan translation from the first game from the PS2 to the Most recent 3DS game, I have being always interested in playing more of these series because they look like awesoon games.

talking about Kenka Banchou I really would like for Gachitora: The Roughneck Teacher in High School

it's a game where a Yakuza becomes a high school teacher and fight in this game are arguments that he has with random people.

the game already has japonese voice acting in the options menu lol, I belive it even asks you which langue you want the dub to be before playing.

Is this soukaigi?
It's probably not impossible, just prohibitively hard, similar to E.X. Troopers and treasure of the Rudras.
Yes, but I doubt people would put that much efford in a game that most who have played belive to be mediocre.

Everything I know about it comes from wikipedia lol. It's a PSP RPG made by Capcom, and Yoko Shimomura (Kingdom Hearts series, FFXV, Super Mario RPG, etc.) does the score. The combat is sort of an action/RPG hybrid thing. It looks really interesting, but it is one of those translations where only the story/gameplay relevant text is translated. Here is the CDR link. The text editing process is freely available, so anyone could finish the translation as long as they knew Japanese. I once had half a mind to use Google Translate to give rough translations of the incidental text, but the results were so bad I gave up pretty quickly.
it was published by campcom but it was made by imageepoch, tho it has art made by the person who also did art of the breath of fire series, I really wish we had a translation of this game in English I love the music, I even used the music in one of my collage presentation.

definetely deSpiria. It's from dreamcast, fucking weird, also reminds me of Hylics somehow, Baroque too and of course the Suspiria movie just because of the name.

i'm also waiting for the first Boku no Natsuyasumi (psx) to be translated. Hilltop made the 2nd for the ps2, while the first one seems to be stuck with other people...
A fantranslation is already in the works and it will be made with the help of the person that made this translation of the game on YT.

It does??? What the hell was the point of that legendary dub then??

For official translations, I wish Nintendo had taken advantage of the popularity of the Switch, the huge amount of NSO subscriptions, and the growing popularity of Fire Emblem to do official translations for Fire Emblem 2-6. We got limited time translation for FE1 (seriously Nintendo why isn't it for sale or on NSO what is wrong with you?!) but that's it. I think this would be easy to justify with Fire Emblem 6, which was teased at the end of the Fire Emblem 7 (since 7 was a prequel) the first title release in English. I also think Fire Emblem 3 would have been a far better choice for Nintendo to have done a special localization/enhanced port for since

1) It would give us a version of Book 2 in English officially after New Mystery was skipped

2) 3 is far easier to go back to then the NES games

3) It tells all of Marth's story in a single title

There are quite a few Gundam games I'd love to see translated. I've always wanted to play the Blue Destiny games for the Saturn.

Also since I'm seeing so many people bring up Danball Senki/LBX games I figured I'd mention Level-5's Gundam AGE games as they have a lot in common with LBX.

1000005436.jpg

I feel like these games tend to get overlooked in the grand scheme of Gundam games, and I'm sure Gundam AGE's less than stellar reputation doesn't help much. But the Gundam AGE anime has an interesting production history that ties directly into these games as Level-5 and Akihiro Hino were directly involved in the anime's production.

Bandai had originally contacted Level-5 with the intention of having them just develop a Gundam game but Hino somehow managed to convince them to turn his proposal for a game into the next mainline anime series.

Gundam AGE has a lot of problems as a series but I can't help but wonder if many of its issues are simply quirks of adapting a story written with the intention of being a video game into a full length anime series.

While there does exist an English patch for these games it only covers the menus. I'd love to see the story content of these games get translated but I don't really think anybody's going to get around to that.

Real Sound: Kaze no Regret. It was on Sega Saturn and Dreamcast, and was an audio only game made by a horror game developer (though it itself wasn't a horror game). Since it's audio only, getting it translated would be a miserable process, but I still desperately wish it would be translated.
