Approved Why the Sega Saturn failed...

Well pretty good Article i should say Pretty clean and straight forward Very good article Good luck In the Application

On the American side, the surprise launch of the Saturn caused it to be both too soon on the market, having poor early titles and made it be blacklisted by many store chains that weren't included in it.

Maybe in the US but here in Germany not so much.

in Germany arcades were in the precarious position to be associated with gambling and were seen unfavourably by authorities and media, even during golden age, hence entry was bared to any persons under 18.
Only in fanfare parks, super markets or ships was it possible for kids to enjoy arcades. Same policy in Scandinavia too.

Except Sega's bad moves, Sony was basically pouring money and selling the console below its real cost and at a loss too.
Sony also signed exclusive deals with the game companies, eg having Mortal Kombat 3 exclusively for 6 months

Sony's Luck was forced to go Solo, after many rejections and bored a new goldmine, when their TV, AudioVideo divisions were dying.

The failure (outside of Japan) of the Sega Saturn was a "crack" in my life as a Gamer. Even today it remains my favourite console (with the MegaDrive/Genesis, of course) 😊

Interesting about the new saturn emulators, I'll wait a while before downloading to see if problems arise. It's library doesn't look too impressive but it probably has it's gems. The arcade talk is interesting. Someone should start a thread or article on the arcade experience. I'm not an article writer. I couldn't be bothered. The summary is, it started with shiny new machines, welcoming smiley enthusiastic staff, exciting new type fast-paced games. You could play 2 player with a buddy right next to you without looking over your shoulder, jump into one of those car drivers that moved flawlessly with the visuals, shoot at approaching zombies or cowboys with a shiny plastic gun, all good. A year later, when entering, you're looking to see if knives are hidden in pockets. The staff look burnt out and are not welcoming. Prices have gone up. Machines are creaky, fag burns and chewing gum stuck to them. The games are mostly sequels, not much new in the place. The car or flight simulators are rocking way off, creaking, dried puke not properly cleaned off. In those latter days, I did get a strange kick out of being in there. Your senses and awareness were heightened. They had to be if talk of a recent stabbing was true, which, these days I doubt. Eitherway, it was an experience that I enjoyed overall. Realistically, with game consoles around the corner it wasn't going to last. It was a hook really, imo.

Hello, sorry for delay.
You are good to go.
Maybe separate sections with h2 headings for readability.

For example:
  • Introduction
  • Technical Beast, Developer’s Nightmare
  • The Sonic Problem
  • The $399 Mistake
  • Legacy & Cult Status
