this...1. We've been emulating for decades and Fusion was the first really solid option. Fossils like us have a very hard time changing habits. It'll happen to you too.
2. I'm not 100% sure about this but it might still be the only emulator that emulates everything Sega made before the Saturn.
this...Because it’s:
Fusion is the single best emulator I’ve ever used, by far, and it hasn’t been updated in 15 years. If you don’t need all sorts of crazy add-on BS and just want to play Genesis games, there’s really no other option — it’s a perfect piece of software.
- Easy as sin to get running and use out-of-the-box
- Requires essentially no setup
- Is compatible with all MD/CD/32X/MS/GG games, across all regions
- Is “complete”, so you’ll never need to deal with pesky updates
- Works on essentially any modern operating system
and this.It has a cool static effect
it just works
I would use it but the filter system is a pain.BTW, for anybody searching for an alternative, I highly recommend Ares (https://ares-emu.net). It's both actively developed and open-source.
Really? It works fine for me.I would use it but the filter system is a pain.
Don't worry, Ares is original and accuracy-focused.Also, honestly, I haven't seen any emulator more accurate than Kega Fusion when it comes to emulating Sega MegaDrive! Especially when it comes to emulating sound.
I haven't tested Ares, but considering most other emulators are based on Gens, they usually inherit the same sound emulation, which is inferior to Kega as far as i can tell.
Yeah, several filters I want to use don't work, and those that do I don't want to use, so it's a problem haha.Really? It works fine for me.

I have tested Ares right now and can confirm that when it comes to accuracy, it's possibly the best!Don't worry, Ares is original and accuracy-focused.
For me, shaders would only become enabled with the OpenGL driver. You can test other drivers too, if there are any.I would use it but the filter system is a pain.
Yes, that's true, I don't think I'm missing shaders, mind you, a lot of them simply don't work.I have tested Ares right now and can confirm that when it comes to accuracy, it's possibly the best!
At the very least, the sound glitches in Tazmania aren't there anymore... the timing is also closer to my experience on a real console than any other emulator so far.
However, it's not 100% yet, the music still goes out of sync in The Adventures of Batman & Robin, but not as much as in other emulators.
Thanks @fake-kun!

Also, all shaders are in "shaders" folder as files. If you like, you can reorganize them however you like.
compatibility. if its the first one out, it would have the most, and therefore, the biggest library of games to play for anyone who gets it and sets it up.There are better Sega Genesis emulators out there
