Whether it's Historian or Media we often come up with how great some of them were centuries if not millennia ago.
We often remember about Ancient Egypt, Ancient Rome, Ancient China and the Meso American civilisations among others less known yet still relevant as well.
There are many fictive universes also referring to ancient civilisations that were technologically advanced (which is a trope I still am fond of) as well to give some life to that world, to give it a proper past for the story not just having a temple only to be a dungeon.
History is always studied and evolving so we always get to learn new things regarding our past.
I'll add a small music to go with the theme
