Who would want to see a snatcher translation for psx and saturn?

Scroll down to the read me.
Ok i will give this a try, there is some one who is further ahead then me in this endevour but he does not have the time to share resources with me.

For me to get anything from him, he needs a problems solved regarding reverse engineering the ADPCM format being used for the saturn version of snatcher, as it seems to be a bispouq codec created by Konami and Kogi pros lot, and that's is waaaaaay above my skill set right now.

My first goal is to get the text over like for like, and after that i can work on things like sound.

He does not want to release any work untill he can get the sega cd audio files playing on the saturn, which i respect. He has a standard he wishes to stick to.

At least the Source media is Redbook audio, so you don't have to decrypt some esoteric audio compression to get it.
Not touching it if i can avoid it right now, as i want to achieve the text as a first mile stone, and we can then deal with the audio at a later date if i can resolve the ADPCM format issues he mentioned, in order to get the audio to play on saturn.

Since it is my first time attempting anything like this, i do no want to feel overwhelmed and then demonize it.

Little bits each day.

I am starting to build a tool base, so that's the first step.

Thank you for the continued efforts, i have this already considered this with the use of other tools.

From my understanding of the pulse code modulation forma it is also used in VoIP systems also, as it is small encoding and loss less, meaning ideal for real time services. In saturns case, it was as space saving utility as there is limited ram to go about, so i have been considering contacting others who encode this format for
VoIP later, and seeing if they can work with it. But Anything further i will leave it, as text first seems to be the easiest win.

I have been thinking about extracting the text from the sega cd version and working on how to port it over to psx and saturn, but i have been lacking the motivation to try.

Please let me know your feelings on the subject, and i may start working on this, this year. Please note: my time is very restrictive, so i may only give updates sparingly if i do work on this, with it probably not finishing for some time.

Please let me know your thoughts and thanks to all those who respond.

On a side note, if i get some help, i have been thinking about eldarado gate on dream cast, but this is much bigger and more involved, so would probably need help if it can be done. No promises!
This would certainly be welcomed though I would absolutely love to see Policenauts translated on the 3DO as well just simply because there are so few good games on the console.

Lets see how i go, if i can edit the game text on each format, then this should be possible.

But this will only be after i manage to do it on psx and saturn first. Then i will be exploring other avenues. To much and i will get overloaded. But i do get your point, would like to see more games on 3D0, heck, the original D2 looked interesting, although that was for thier next gen failed platform i think.

That would be great, but I'm really crossing my fingers for a PC-98 Policenauts translation.
Probably never gonna happen.
