I've played games with a few folks on here (and had my ass handed to me more than once). Seen/spoken to a couple of peeps on VC too. I don't feel obliged to get to know everyone behind the screen like that though. I'm content with having online-only friends. :)

Having online friends is pretty cool, I enjoy the few I'm close to quite a bit. Maybe someone needs to make like a "make friends online" thread or something.

I’ve been here since December last year it took quite a while for me to get my footing. I’ve found some online friends from all across globe. At first I felt like I’m not even breaking any grounds but as days go by I found out that the best way to make new friends is to socialize and tell how different and the same you are to them.

Usually what happens with me is a decent night of chatting, and then we just never talk again. Sometimes I reach out but I'd say like 30% of the time I hear back after that. It is cool to meet different people in different parts of the world though; you get some different perspectives that way.

there is a group of internet friends i would voice chat with almost every day, sometimes for only a few minutes, sometimes for hours
i do miss them

It's super hard to find that group you're super tight-knit with, sorry you're no longer able(?) to talk with them. It's a really cool feeling to jump on with some people every day to game or just talk, and have a semi-realistic expectation that you can jump on together whenever.

there's supposed to be a reboot thread of this one, but i think both of them got pushed far down into the pile of threads and got lost.
there will be a resurgence of the threads soon enough. it's summer and no one wants to do anything because of the hot weather.
