My handwriting is utterly atrocious though, which is what I was taking a jab at myself about![]()
Yeah kinda, though I'd say my pronunciation isn't tooooo bad.![]()
Is this a good description ?
looks almost like Katakana but I know it's not. I'm a big know-it-none
Close to it, Thu'um is the language of the dragons, Japanese is the language of the rising sun.looks almost like Katakana but I know it's not. I'm a big know-it-none

The first sentence contradicts the second one. It's something most people can only dream about do to.I'm only completely fluent and literate in English, but I can speak, read, and write Japanese at a basic level.
Eh, learning very basic Japanese isn't too hard really, and I wouldn't say I'm fluent or literate in it either. I know just enough to pretend to know what I'm doing. The first sentence contradicts the second one. It's something most people can only dream about do to.
It depends on how good you are at learning foreign languages. I get by with english because it was always easy to learn for me since middle school. I tried with korean few years ago, but quit because it would have been pointless, same for japanese.Eh, learning very basic Japanese isn't too hard really, and I wouldn't say I'm fluent or literate in it either. My bet is some centuries down the line the use of kanji/hanzi will subside, languages tend to simplify over time. It will be a cultural loss, but egyptians don't write in hieroglyphs anymorea language is supposed to be practical for crying out loud
