If I could pick and choose it would be a cozy coffee shop somewhere somewhat chilly and montainous, away from the hustle and bustle.

Arcade and or mall, it helps gauge their interests and connections as a mall usually has something that’ll pique their interest.

Arcades are a bit more risky but if their more accepting they won’t mind, and they make for a fun time if their willing to accept something slightly nerdy.

I’ve always taken dates to either a Mexican or just went along with their idea if I know Jack about them, since I find it easier to cater to their location.

While we're actually back on the subject of dating again, what's your ideal place for a first date? I like going for coffee.
A Mcdonald's with bad wifi. /j

Mostly somewhere open where me & my waifu can see the moon together.

The cemetery<3
Hey, I've known people who like using cemeteries as hangout spots. With the right girl, it'd probably be a good date spot.

Edit: Just saw the edit, you done got me good lol

On that Edgar Allen Poe type date, just with a woman/man of age. /j

Depends on the cemetery, some cities have this strange idea to place them near roads with fast food slop nearby so you’d definitely get looks.

Speaking of which, if I died and I was buried next to a Chinamax I’d fucking traverse the nine realms to strangle the architect who died 200 years ago.

I actually spent a decent amount of time as a teen in one of a couple local cemeteries with friends, because they were central, peaceful and generally had less footfall than other places. Not something you have to worry about now. Everywhere's pretty quiet around these parts nowadays

Man, I love all good cemetery date. That's so fun. I would love to go to the aquarium on a first date. I feel like it's a great conversation starter and keeps the date moving along well!

My favorite date spot when I was a broke teen was the local park, especially in autumn. Just walking and chatting in nature is surprisingly fun when you hit it off with someone.

You know, some time before, existed a thread called User Graveyard Memorial...

And it could be strange for a date spot, actually.

Since we’re on the topic, have you ever had your date do something that turned you off completely?

I know it seems stupid because people shit on “Icks” but I remember feeling genuine annoyance whenever someone would not pay attention or something.

We have a park like that where I live. It's so beautiful during the fall months!

That's a great shout, plus if you were feeling adventurous you could try and Free Willy
Oh yes. Then my date and I could get arrested together. How romantic!

The older I've gotten, the less time I have for self-deprecation, especially in a partner. I don't want "I can fix them" projects anymore.

YOU’RE TALKING MY SHIT!

I’m not a confident person, I see myself as a 4/10 on a good day, but HOLY FUCK I knew people like this and they sucked.

Like, there’s nothing wrong with self-deprecation, but so many view it as an excuse to continue doing it in an obvious ploy to fish for praise or just come across as annoyingly pathetic with how much they try to put themselves down even when you treat them with respect.

If you want praise, ask for it fucking prick.

After a while, I think there is something wrong with self-deprecation. If it's all you tell yourself you will manifest it. So if it wasn't true before it definitely will become true.

Also, what does it say to your partner? If I outwardly was saying "Hey, I really truly deeply hate myself and can't bare to look myself in a mirror, but I'd love to spend time with you?" I feel that's selfish, or at the very least that self-absorption will lead to neglectful behaviour and unnecessary barriers. Sad but true.

Ideal first date location would be a coffee shop or a local pizza place, if the lady's a gymrat a workout would be nice too (i'm in dire need of a spotter)

Ideal date overall would be snacks and drinks shared over a retro video game at my place.

Am i weird? I usually take them to museums or exhibits on the first date.
Nah, if it’s something that interests them then it’s a good date, plus, most museums are usually long so the walk throughout can be seen as the date itself with conversations and whatnot.

i used to do self-deprecating jokes, then i met a person who also did them and realized how much it sucked. After that i've i've instead started joking about how awesome and cool and hot i am (it's 100% true btw)
