Yeess ? These were the closest things I have seen to tell the truth.

Technically ? they’re just alternative and emo and other stuff, Evanescence did help bring attention to the sub-section of fashion and interest though—same with Linkin Park who is more rap rock but did help bring attention to it as-well.

Roan’s music is more synth-pop but in terms of aesthetic and fashion I’d say she fits the bill.

I think the top one was especially popular among the goth crowd. There was alot of overlap between goths, emo's and metalheads.
