Yeah, they get trained to kinda be able to handle as much as is reasonably humanly possible. It's actually hard to say the full details of what that entails though. I have a friend in the marines, and about all he was allowed to talk about from his training was the typical physical training and the tear gas resistance training, which he said and I quote: "sucked." That really was all he had to say about it ​

See, war is talked about, studied, celebrated even. What happens after and how to deal with the aftermath? you'd be lucky to see a passing mention. But I'm not going to open that can of worms.

Yeah I'm right there with you on that one. All I really feel like adding is, at least here in the U.S., a lot more could be done for troops returning home than there is.
