For me: Ridge Racer, which was the veeery first game marketed in my country (SCES-00001)

First Playstation game I played was WipeOut.

I didnt own a PSX at the time but there was a tiny shop with ten or so TVs and you could play Saturn and PSX games. They asked for half a euro (a 20 FB coin) to play 20 mins and that was a pretty cheap alternative to arcade games, so we were spending time there after school when we weren't at the bar.

I remeber I traded in my Sega mega drive/genesis + allot of games for a PS1 + 1 game and that game was so ASSSSSSSSSS just 2 days after I traded my PS1 + that game for a sega + Phantasy star which I never played then.

And it was this SHIT game.


My second ever game was playing the Demo in the store of this one.


My third game that became an all time favorite that I like even more than FF7. "Heck FF7 is like my top 8 of FF games.

The multiplayer fights were epic, and the 100 kills boss rush mode was one of my favorites.

One of my earliest memories was seeing my dad play Gran Turismo 1. As for the first game I played it was either Street Fighter Alpha 3 or Tekken 3 on the PS1. To this day I still see those games in my dreams and even hear the music. Both were just so iconic in the sound department.

Final Fantasy VII, which I did not like. Thankfully, the friend who had it also had Final Fantasy IX, which I love to death. It made me want to get my own copy, which meant asking for a PS2 (because those just came out a year ago).

I probably played some other games first, since a cousin had one from before I made that friend. But I don't know for certain, and none of his games were any more than time wasters.

I can comfortably say it was Crash Bandicoot. I started gaming on the ps1 during the apex of its popularity, where titles like Crash, Pepsiman, Metal Slug and Tekken reigned supreme here. Arcade-style action was all the mattered at the time to us, Crash essentially defined the PSX for me and I cannot imagine one without the other. They’re practically inseparable.
