Which Sony game was your first?

My first impression of the PlayStation was emulation, which means that my first Sony game is

A fan translation of Persona 2: Innocent Sin on the PS1 during my high school years (I’m such a rebel). I don’t remember what year. Somewhere in between Junior year and my fifth year (spent an extra year due to a 2 year program related directly to my dream job opening up on my Senior year). Played it on a shitty browser that used files for saves before it crapped out entirely and became unplayable. Same site I used to play Earthbound before the same happened.

I played that game a long time ago. i got to a cave dungeon and quit after a boss kept killing my party.

I also had Battle Arena Toshinden as my first game. I wanted a GameCube but my parents could get one, so they got a PSone (I didnt even knew what a PlayStation was).

Overall not my favorite game, but if is servers something, I still play on my PS1. Today I beated the second (or third? idk) boss of Descent Maximum. It still works great though the plastic has seen maybe too much sun.

I remember briefly playing Crash and Syphon Filter at my uncle's. Not sure which game I played for either, had to be either 1 or 2.

I had a friend I used to hang out with during elementary/middle school days and she had a PS1 with this game and Croc. I fell in love with this game more for thus music than the actual game. I eventually got it myself, except for the Saturn. Aside from the graphical differences, the music was a bit changed as well (the latter tracks were replaced... Cold Storage's songs still remained except for like one I believe)

The first PlayStation release also had the issue with the cd laser and the FMV was playing very choppy.
You had to put your PlayStation upside down to work without issues.
Rapid Reload I never couldn't finish game was pretty difficult for me, I should certainly retry it though.

Yup, the lens got really hot and afterwards the games weren't read correctly anymore.
It was a fault with the first versions of the PlayStation 1, Sony fixed that later with the revisions.

I sucked at it but it wasnt a bad game. In retrospect it had pretty solid visuals and sound. Far from my favorite PSX game but still a good game I guess.

I will tell you all a story no one give a shit about but still. Back in the day in 1996 about 1 year after the PS1 released I was at out local game store they had a display for the PS1 with the Demo of Final fantasy 7. It was the first final fantasy my country ever seen or at least first time I even knew about it.

Also a little fun notice I was the first kid that day that beat the scorpion boss in the demo because I grew up playing Phantasy star so I knew how to use items and potions which allot of the other kids did not know about which is why they always died.

Anyhow I won´t count the demo as my first game as it´s a demo and not a full game. So fast forward some months and I had decided to trade in my Sega mega drive plus games for the PS1 because it was something new and cool. So I did just that I got enough for my trade in to get a PS1 but no games so my dad said I could have 1 cheap games.

So my first ever full game was this piece of trash garbage because it was only 20 bucks.


This game was such utter shit and bad and hard that 3 days later I traded in the PS1 and the game back for a Sega mega drive + 4 games.

Yes the game was so bad it had me so damn pissed I got back a sega mega drive sadly with less games than I had but still.

And I still to this date think it´s the worst PS1 game I ever played.
