Which game did you play way too young?

By the way the thing were you need an id to buy an 18+ games was never a thing in italy, not that it mattered in the good old days, most games youd just get them off the street from a moroccan anyway
It got on my nerves back then, an adult always had to buy it for you.Thank God those times are over.

Not a single game compared today parents that wanna ban everything because they are utterly F-ing useless humans that should not be parents. My parents where responsible and always saw to it that I played game´s appropriate of my age. Im not saying parents of the past was bad just saying today's are F-ing useless trying to get everything banned because they suck at being parents.

Doom Ps1 I was so young it did not even come to me that I was fighting against Demons I thought they where Aliens back then.

GTA San Andreas PS2 never completed it but did a lot of shit in game

GTA 5 I played that one a lot to

Star Wars Battlefront 2

Uncharted 2 my favorite of the whole franchise
I loved the game to death to some degree I was very good.

Dark Souls I think Ps3

Rygar Ps2 same as below

Tekken 4 same as below.

Prince of Persia the warrior within. Got later removed by my ma so I only got that back when I was older

Fallout 3 thanks to my big bro it found it so cool and mysterious back then not anymore though still cool but it lost much of its aaaw factor for when I grew up.

Fallout New Vegas that one I played a lot not from my brother.

Skyrim I bought it basically on launch for the Ps3 back then I loved Oblivion and wanted to desperately to play it back then I begged and begged and promissed to only play it on my 16 birthday which I did not keep ::nervous-prinny I could not really wait that long It would have taken forever and I know now that its the worst version of Skyrim but I never had major issues with the game back then.

Dead Space not sure which part my brother brought it over for me to play

So overall I played a couple of games that I was to young for usually I begged my ma to buy me this games other times my older brother brought time over to play like Doom and GTA Vice City I also played a bit Silent Hill 2 back then I did not like it back then as a kid thanks to the controlls ::sailor-embarrassed
now I liked it.

TL;DR: Mortal Kombat for the original Sega Genesis/MegaDrive back in '95-'97.

Back in 1995-1997 (can't remember the exact year, I just know it's after the establishment of the ESRB), I pretty much played Mortal Kombat with my brother, who owned a Sega Genesis/MegaDrive, he would even input the cheat code to unlock the gore for the fatalities.
Then when the Dreamcast released and Mortal Kombat Gold came out '99, it kinda went down hill since I did play a lot of the M rated games for the Dreamcast. I still loved playing Dead or Alive 2.
And I suppose I was a bit too young to be playing Killzone, TimeSplitters 2 and Future Perfect along with other M rated titles for the PS2 at the time. I however didn't play GTA until GTA4 for the Xbox 360.

My dad was the one that give me a lot of violent games back then. Hell, he also played some with me

He was the one that give me Mortal Kombat 2 and we played it a lot. We even played Bloody Roar 2 and Resident Evil 3 with some sport games (he loved Mario Kart and Baseball games)

In fact, thanks to him i got Legend of Legaia (by mistake, no less) and since then i love the turn base videogames

I played everything and anything as a kid, my parents and my older brother both knew that the violence and nudity in video games wasn't very realistic (especially compared to many 80's and 90's movies) and often time before the late eps2/ps3 era, said violence or nudity was actually quite silly or exaggerated at the time. I was already a near adult by the ps3 era so it wasn't an issue anymore.

An example being the fatalities in Mortal Kombat just looked silly till the ps3 reboot.

Guess I'm the only one here who's always been the good child and paid attention to the rating on the covers of game/movies, because I was a scaredycat and I knew it, so I didn't want to see blood/gore/violence.
I was well beyond the 18+ when I played my first "Assassin's Creed": after years of gaming I started to "get used" to some light-violence scenes so I was curious to play titles on Vita like Metal Gear, Assassin's Creed and Killzone and I was fine. Still today, though, I wouldn't play more violent titles (ex. The Outer Worlds, I've watched videos while looking for fps on switch and there was too much gore) or horror titles (tried RE on 3ds a few days ago, out of pure curiousity, but I quit when I found the meat on the beach and short after a monster ambushed me in the toilet of the ship lol).

Not sure if this counts, but there were a few games I wanted to play but I didn't have the console and our parents definitely weren't buying multiple consoles.

I wanted really badly to play the N64 Pokémon games.
I also really wanted to play Pikmin as a kid, but alas no GameCube.

Resident Evil 1 and 2. I didn't deal with horror well at all as a kid, but I had that "stick a pen in a light socket" obsession with horror games--I just had to play them, even if it hurt. Those games scared the piss out of me. Still loved them, but man I was not ready...

I can't remember how young I was playing Wolfenstein 3D with my friends, but we were all hyped to play the Doom episode 1 shareware when it came out and I was 10 at the absolute oldest when that released. My parents were extremely negligent about shit that was way more important than violent video games.

Doom 3
As a kid my dad let me play doom 1 with him so when I asked my mom for a copy of Doom 3 at 10 years old she was fine with it thinking it would be the same thing. Needless to say the game fucking terrified me I'd never seen anything like it.

I didn't play a lot of mature games when I was young but I remembered playing Op. Flashpoint Dragon Rising on the 360. Couldn't get past the first level cuz I suck at shooting on console but I really like how intense and loud the gunfight is. I kinda dig it though. I also remembered playing Rainbow six vegas 2 and the nerve gas scene was pretty shocking.

The New Foundland mission in Xcom Enemy Within was straight nightmare fuel tho. Seeing my toughest guys getting picked off one by one by a swarm of chrysallids made me stop playing the game for a little while.

Bloody Roar 2 and other games with blood for that matter
What, he can't handle bat boobs or cute cat girls? Bloody Roar is literally X-Men, but the humans turn into furries. My parents didn't mind us playing fighting games in general. The only problem they had with was GTA. That didn't last long, and my dad forgets the franchise even exists. My mom's problems with the game vanished when Vice City started playing Luther Vandross, Evelyn Champagne King, and Pointer Sisters music. All of sudden...no problems. Plus, my brother was already in his early 20s when that game came out.

I got a list of many:

  • Mortal Kombat
  • Doom, Doom II, & Doom 64
  • Golden Eye 64
  • Turok 1-3
  • Killer Instinct 1 & 2
  • Mace: The Dark Age
  • War Gods
  • Smash TV
  • NARC
  • Battletoads Arcade
  • Resident Evil 2
  • Fear Effect 1 & 2
  • GTA
  • God of War
  • Devil May Cry
  • Soul Reaver

A top list, nothing to complain about. Fear Effect, I only played the first part. It's a hot game, I had problems with the zombies in the train mission. It took me forever to make progress.

I really don't remember much other than my brother and I beating both games, and getting the true ending for the first game. Both games we rented back in the day.
