Note: very few ps1 games, mostly ff, experienced on ps2/psp, gba games (very few) experienced on emu, xbox360 bought cheap and used only for two games, pc I used it in the beginning, but every game required different things to work fine (always newer) and in the end we decided to go with the consoles, wii bought very cheap and modded only for one game, I tried some other titles beside the one I wanted to play but me and home/tv console = no perfect feeling, I go better with handhelds.

I know it might seem weird to have a pretty new console like the Switch 2 in my 'top 10' but I can explain:
Obviously I'm basing my list on consoles I have some experience with, either via actually using the console itself or their library via emulation/rereleases. And I would have put the OG Switch on the list, but the Switch 2 can play all but a small number of Switch 1 games (and that list of games that don't run properly keeps getting smaller) plus games that aren't on the Switch 1. Same reason why I put the 3DS over the DS and the PS2 over the PS1.

Really though, I'd probably have to seriously look at each library and maybe revisit a bunch of titles to order them beyond my gut reaction. That's entirely based on nostalgic feelings and individual titles from the systems I've played more lately.
