What's your perfect game that hasn't been made yet?

An idea that's been lingering in my head is a 3D, tank controlling survival horror game with art style and graphics that evoke Resident Evil 4's cancelled builds, built for VR but the gimmick is, your head controls the camera. Your view with the VR controls where the camera pans to. Of course this mechanic may be somewhat guided to be sure the view doesn't break and clips through objects.

A highly stylish 3D platformer that combines large open hub areas with fast paced 3D levels that are very good for both speed running and score attack. The game is well written, has original gameplay ideas that shake the gaming landscape, and has actually good boss fights that are super epic. The game has multiple playable characters, with more that you unlock as you progress the story, but none of those characters detract from the main gameplay loop, rather they just give their own spin on it.

The game has an online leaderboard for both best times and best scores on the levels. Speaking of a different kind of score, the music is absolutely incredible and has a very strong vibe of pop punk.

This doesn’t exist yet, and probably will never because too many things would need to come together to make it happen.

  1. Final Fantasy vs Dragon Quest
  2. A non-olympical Mario and Sonic crossover

I asked this question earlier in Lee__Kanker's AMA thread, but thinking more about it I'd actually like to open it up to the floor. What I want to know is what your ideal video game would be – not a game that already exists, but one that would do everything you'd ever want a video game to do. A game tailored to your exact, individual tastes, executed as well as humanly possible.

I'm keeping things general here, so feel free to discuss game mechanics, visuals, genres, whatever – just tell me what a perfect, idealized video game would be for you.

YOU DID?
