Not sure if the other stuff matters. Pretty good setup for me for a long time since I barely see any new games I actually care to play which also have high system requirements. Most of them are poorly optimized anyway, devs gotta use UE5 for some reason.

All I know for sure is that it had a 1070 because that was a thing I wanted back when I bought it in 2018. Looking to upgrade to a newer PC soon, but I am so far out of the loop. I went to Best Buy and all I saw were fishtank-looking towers and I guess they go up to 5080 now? Time flies.

An actual rusty bucket has a better chance running modern games than my PC. Its a 1050ti with Ryzen 5 1600 and 16 gigs of RAM, which was already weak when I built it in 2017. Its okay enough for editing since I don't deal with anything higher than 1080p anyway. Though running a game and recording footage at the same time can be rough, if not impossible. Emulation works fine up to PS3 (I haven't even tried it, I'm too scared). I want and kinda can upgrade, but with all the stuff that's happening here I'm affraid to spend that much money. I wish things were better but for now I'm just working with what I have.

15.6" Laptop i7 11800h, RTX3080 and use mostly MSI Claw u5 135H, Xe igpu 7" pc handheld.
To me tower pc are outdated, last one i7 4790k, gtx980ti and samsung 55" 3dtv.
It became boredom to setup and limited use on ext. tv but mainly play (long)time with fast gfx games on big screen gave me motionsickness/dizzy and portable hardware are using little power with better gfx and performance and use everywhere, any time.

If you want a good recommendation for a graphics card that is good and will last for a long time, the RTX 4070 Super is a solid choice. That's what I am thinking of buying. So might be something to look out for, if you can find it that is.
