If anyone likes MMA or combat sports in general, Napoleon Blownapart is really good. He's also very clearly into games, if that matters.
Soooo who would win a fight Napoleon, or fellow jujitsu practitioner, video game lover, and <insert random Civvie fact here> John Carmack?

I don't know if Napoleon has ever had a cat murdered out of spite so I'd favor Carmack just in terms of thirst for blood

Asthenic for their synthwave mixes. They seem to get a nice set almost every time.
My Life in Gaming has been handy for me in getting a better understanding how to get the best outta the older systems.
More gaming stuff? RMC (Retro Collective) is a museum in the UK that collects and displays old computers, game systems, and arcade cabinets - and they let people visit and use them! Plenty of new things to discover about your favorite game systems.
TronicsFix has been a good source of learning a few repair techniques on electronics. Helped me with my PS5 repair.

Aaand many more. I really should bookmark them.

I'd never heard of Asthenic but that's a damn good channel. New running music acquired.

Accursed Farms. Not as productive as I would like, but Ross' Game Dungeon and Freeman's Mind are worth watching every time. Ross is pretty old by internet standards, so I guess most probably know him, since everyone here besides me is at least 45.

Custom Gamer. "My name is Daz and this is the show where we talk level design while playing cool maps." He was making user maps for Quake since it came out I think. Most of the videos are playthrough and level design commentary on Quake or Half-life 2 user maps and mods. He got hired by a studio and stopped uploading about 10 years ago.

Resonant Arc. Podcasts about gaming and storytelling topics, but also long discussions and analysis of particular games or films.

Civvie 11. Not too much, but I do eventually watch all his videos.

Wolfychu: SO...Fucking...KEWT
Jaidenanimations: One of the few believable Storytime animators and her quirky humor mixes with the animation oddities
ConnertheWaffle: his short videos are great, but is the compilations or plain long videos are great pseudo podcast while i draw stuff
Any Askreddit video with TTS: Fake or not, they are entertainment...

El Reviewer Random and Huerfano producciones: Saberspark and Nostalgia Critic respectively styled Chilean review shows, of you just want the review instead of half an hour of mid episode lore they are your go, even when they do is barely an annoyance
F.A.P Bros: Ditto but with videogames

...oh God, i have ZERO personality

Don't watch much YouTube anymore but I really like Livakivi. He has a unique editing style to me: very modern but not overstimulating. and he just talks about whatever he likes in a calming yet nuanced way. There are some things I didn't think I would be interested in but now am thanks to him.

Oh, and a Joel Vinesauce stream or DankPods video doesn't hurt to use as background noise for cleaning and such.

my god I got a bunch I love to watch.

Love his vids; talked about a lot of stuff not many other retro channels touch on and even stuff outside it. He abandoned it a few months ago since the Internet took a toll on his mental health. His content was all over the place, sure, but that's what made it great. It reminds me of Classic Game Room and late 2000s LGR. There's no blueprint for what games to speak about, they just talked about whatever.

NewRetroWave for new synthwave music.
Nick Crowley because I like to watch documentaries about criminal cases, he focus on cases that has relation with the internet tho. He does a good investigative work imo and presents it in a well organized and satisfactory manner.
This doesn't have a channel because it's a tv show I think, its the japanese show "Manben". The manga artist Naoki Urasawa interviews other "mangakas" while showing them in the middle of the work, talking about choices, techniques, thoughts, etc; highly interesting and instructive. A lot of the episodes has been translated and uploaded to youtube by various users.

I'll put a list of some of my favourites with links and a short description of each.

Jeremy Parish (Author, videographer and professional video game Historian.)
Red Letter Media (Old men making movie reviews and comedy skits.)
Vwestlife (A soft-spoken man who does in-depth videos about very mundane tech.)
FutureCanoe (Cooking channel that specialises in cursed recipes and trying to recreate food from TikTok.)
karameru (Japanese animator who creates short comedy skits with his original cast of characters.)
Solar Sands (Video essayist who talks a lot about different artists and what their art means to him.)
WiggleWood (Animator who creates fantasy themed comedy skits styled like old PC adventure games.)
ClassicsOfGame (Dead channel. lots of funny short clips of bizarre old games. Random and nonsensical.)
takena (Independent Japanese animator who makes violent stop-motion films about monsters.)
lasagnacat (Dead channel. Garfield parody videos with insanely high production quality.)
murau (Japanese animator who makes very charming videos about a trio of cat girls.)
PilotRedSun (Dead channel. Trippy animations that make great use of bizarre looking video effects.)

darklordjadow, hcbailly, the party crashers [king of skill, tcnick3, vernias, sophist and their shared channel party crashers], mauler, efap, magic the noah, atop the 4th wall, anime abandon, phelous, caddicarus, jontron, game grumps, peanutbuttergamer, pedro araujo, therunawayguys, devilartimes, goobus doobus, mashed, cas van de pol, teamfourstar, littlekuriboh, filthy frank, papasea, purplecliffe, mandjtv, and internet historian. that's all i can name at the moment.
