What's your favorite meal?

I like a really good beef stew. I like to do just cheap cubed beef with potatoes, carrots, Celery, and pearl onions. When I'm not being lazy, I'll properly season and sear the beef and Sautee the veggies with garlic before it all goes in. I'll deglaze the pan with red wine or balsamic vinegar, pop in beef stock with rosemary....

It's really basic. Sometimes I add mushrooms. It's my favorite. My cooking isn't fancy but it's fully clean and safe to eat, and it'll fill you up.

Perhaps stereotypical of an American, but a Hamburger

Not a junky fast-food burger mind you, but a proper homemade burger with fresh ingredients and veggies. Highly customizable and very tasty, I don't make them very often due to wanting to eat healthy, but it's always a treat when I do.

Love me some Beef Enchiladas. I usually make an entire pan then eat the leftovers for the next couple days if I'm only feeding myself. They keep surprisingly well and heat up easy in a loaf pan.

I also love Cubanos. They're my go-to whenever I see them on menus

Buckwheat because its cheap and easy to cook.
But seriously, if i feel like treating myself, probably sushi.

I'm not too hard to please. A Go Go Curry Grand Slam is enough to make me feel like I'm being treated to fine dining:

Alternatively, a chicken katsu curry with omurice is also a good choice (and more available at other Japanese places than Go Go Curry):

A nice bulgogi bowl always makes me feel at home, too (gyudon is also acceptable, but not as nostalgic):

For special occasions, sushi is a great choice:

Mac n cheese is usually a home staple, but I sometimes like to go out for seafood mac:

A good pub burger is also great to go out for (and if they have pretzel buns, even better):

I also love Mexican food. My favorite is enchilada con mole:

Though I eat tacos more often:

My favorite dessert is ice cream. I really love Ben & Jerry's, with Phish Food and Cherry Garcia competing for my top choices (luckily at the shop I can get a scoop of each):

Curry is also one of the most fun things to make.
I donโ€™t remember ever having Ben & Jerryโ€™s. Only baskin robins and hagan daz.

Baskin Robbins is okay, but lacks the texture of Ben & Jerry's. I never tried Hรคagen-Dazs; it's been on my to-do list for some time, though. The local ice cream scene is good enough that, between it and Ben & Jerry's, I haven't really needed more options.

I don't eat a lot of meat, but I do enjoy slow cooker Baby back BBQ ribs. I let them cook on low overnight, drain them, and then bake them for an extra hour in Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce. They're pretty good. The problem I have now, though, is that there aren't many orphanages around *Smirks*

My grandpa knows how to grill a MEAN piece of chicken. And when he adds beef and guacamole into the mix? Oooohh man, I am gobbling everything off the grill faster than Kirby!
And I can't forget the small quesadillas he cooks while he grills the meat!โ˜๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‹

My number one would be tamales.
Especially if I could have ones made by my grandma again.

My favorite food is cheeseburger, but I'm a huge fan of texmex/southwest stuff in general. A nice southwest chicken salad, for example, is heaven.

But if I had to choose anything specific, it's either my late mother's pot roast (she made it a very specific way we've yet to master in replication) or @King Koopa cooking in general.

Unironically my mom's spaghetti... but other than that probably her chicken & dumplings.

As for things I make myself? Probably my caprese chicken or my shogayaki.

I love a good chicken parmesan or chicken katsudon.

I'm sad there's not many places near me where you can get chicken katsudon, but at least the chicken parm at the restaurant my neighbor owns is amazing.
