What's the story behind your username?

I'm a fan of Bayonetta, and I once made a silly pun on her name (Bayonnaise) when playing as her in Smash Bros. Ultimate.
I liked that dumb pun so much that I applied it to myself. My shoot name starts with a J, so Jayonnaise.
The 6105 is a random number Discord gave me when signing up, so I just use that pretty much everywhere now

See my post and you will find out why I am named my friend

Mine is a bit more simple. For years I used some play on Johnny Lee Miller's hacker names (Zero Cool and Crash Override) in the 1995 film hackers, "Negative-Chill" (sort of the inverse of Zero Cool), which morphed into "Crash Orange" (sort of like the little insignia that Crash Test Dummies had), and then "Diet Orange" (mainly due to my love of Sunkist Zero Sugar because it has caffeine)

I once ate a ton of berries.
My whole worldview was shaken.

I thought for sure you were naming yourself after this guy:

Im Ready Lets Go GIF by Xbox

XD!

Given that calling myself "MaraFirebrand" here didn't last long, I suppose I should probably post again.

Raziya is a character I use in games and such. Heck, I'm even writing novelettes of questionable quality starring her these days. She's almost a veritable fursona too. Her name means "content", "agreeable" or "good-natured". Jury's out on whether or not she's as much of a goodie-goodie as her name would impy.

The Seeker has a bit more to it. Initially I took this on to mean being a spiritual seeker. Trying to figure out my spiritual and religious views about ten years ago. It still works in trying to figure out and come to terms with myself, let alone trying to improve myself bit-by-bit.

When I was a kid way back in the ancient 90's I heard this weird techno song called DOOP and just thought it was funny so I just kept using it, the 169 is because AOL wouldn't let me have 69 (in my defense I was a 14 year old boy).

So... You're not part of the Democratic Order Of Planets then? The organisation from Futurama? ::winkfelix

I was as a big Yoshi fan, but I thought naming myself "Yoshifan" was too generic so I went with "freak" instead and my original general username for the longest time was "Yoshifreak2000" from 2012 when I first came up with it until 2022 when I changed it to "ZX" because idk, I just thought it sounded better, plus I'm a big Mega Man fan.

My username comes from a certain collection of stories in Europe circulating during the medieval ages mostly focusing on a character named Reynard the fox. These stories were eventually collected initially in French but translated in different languages. The stories reflect the social and political situations in Europe during that time but isn't limited to France.

My username is based on the English translation by William Caxton in 1481. Reynard the fox is generally depicted as a trickster (naturall), a scoundrel, thief and a r (the forbidden R word) ist. His enemy is Isegrim the Wolf (as spelled in the Caxton translation), my username, though he has different and similar sounding names depending on the version/region/translation. Unfortunately, my namesake usually comes off as the loser of the stories as he is usually outfoxed by his arch nemesis Reynard. Other characters include Chanticleer the Rooster, Grimbert the Badger and Noble the Lion. You might have read about some of these characters in the acclaimed Fables comic series by Bill Willingham.

Incidentally, if you watched the animated version of Disney's Robin Hood, that movie was almost based on the Reynard stories but was changed...maybe because the original stories aren't exactly fit reading for children. However, you can see the influences...like the king being a lion, Robin Hood a fox and the Sheriff, his nemesis also being a wolf, possibly reflecting the original script of Reynard outwitting Isegrim.

And that's why my username has to be paired with a wolf Avatar.
