What's the story behind your username?

about 6 years ago before I got a PC of my own, my brother let me use his computer to play Old School RuneScape before I realized that MMOs aren't for me. And upon reaching the account making page I figured with how many players that play MMOs that my old name wasn't unique enough. So I just kitbashed the names of the 2 games I was playing at the time. Witch were Celeste and Deadrising for CellRising, I have only told this story 2 times. It also warms my heart to hear people also have a similar origin for their username

This is simple, yet interesting the process of your nickname.
besides, I'm trying to play again runescape, however, want to check brighter shores just to make a comparison.

In my case it is something that may sound very egocentric and boring.
Basically "Laura" is my first name in real life...✌️?✨✨
I actually really like that you'd have your real name as your nickname. It's cute.

Boring? I don't think so.
being yourself in the internet, is no easy task these days, becoming a feat.
you know, real life and internet are two sides of the coin, these days.

your nick/name, has its own charm, like everyone.

Come to think of it, in my case, there is not much difference between an "internet personality" and a "real life personality".
That can be good or problematic depending on the context...?

It's still manageable, it could be worse.

If there is someone who is an idol, a youtuber/streamer or a vtuber secretly, that's another story, because it's a matter to be handled carefully.
besides, the most important thing about 'having charisma' is just, let it shine... ✨
and knowing how to hide that identity through it, will reach the person at the right time. :ninja:

Just saying.
every person, no matter what kind of context is facing, has its own story to tell (or not).
we see faces, we don't know hearts.
and everyone has the right to their own person or identity and to know how to express it.

For me it doesn’t matter if people use their “real life personality”. If you’re nice and polite, that’s what matters.
Para mí no importa que la gente utilice su "personalidad de la vida real". Si son amables y educados, eso es lo que importa.

Fits like a glove, for the better.

Beautifully said.

It's a mash-up of Kirby and Zero from Rockman X. The 77 is there because it looks cool. Anyway, the username is mostly random, but it reminds me of a lot of usernames I used to see online pre-2012 so that's why I chose it. Quite juvenile, but it gives a nostalgic old forum feel for me.

Atlas is from my Chinese name, "Cheng Tian" (承天, to bear the heaven/sky [on your shoulders]). Because Atlas in the myth basically does the same thing, I choose his name as my username. The M is Mangkulangit, basically the same meaning, just Indonesian lol. Together, Atlas Mangkulangit means, "Atlas, the one who bears the sky [on his shoulders]."

Pretty grand, huh? Nah, that's just the literal meaning. Cheng Tian commonly means "to uphold the way of Heaven," or so my father said. Basically, it just means "an upright person." Yep. Nothing grand about it ?

I'm sorry if this is considered necroposting ??

Not much science behind mine, the first part is just short for Cristian which is my real life name. Now the second part is a secret, well kept through generations that it doesn't finish where it doesn't start and it doesn't start where it doesn't finish.
