my first PS1 game was Nightmare Creatures, but I also got Jet Moto 2 the same night.
I got the PS1 specifically to play Resident Evil 1, so that might also count?

I visited my neighbour to borrow some SNES-Games and he showed me the PS1. I was totally thrilled, cause the only 3D thing I'd known so far was Star Wing aka Star Fox.

I only bought the PS5 because of the 4-Player Splitscreen Modes in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands and Borderlands 3, which I played with my Sons.

The first PlayStation game I remember playing were Jumping Flash and Ridge Racer at a kiosk in the mall, possibly at a SEARS or Electronics Boutique. I remember at that point thinking my Dad getting me an Atari Jaguar just a couple years prior may not have been the right call

Got to play with the Japanese PSX prior to the US release, so 3 games stick out for me that sold me on the system.

Tekken, Ridge Racer, Toshinden.

I was talking mad shit back then toward Toshinden though. "Oh, Takara made it? Oh so, they got ideas from those shitty ports of Neo Geo games they did?" Everyone was like "oh shit! EEEEEEEEEEE......" Then when they released it in the US, they dubbed the voices and changed the OST to the arranged soundtrack. I was "So they put the arranged soundtrack cause they knew we were gonna hate the dub voices!"
