if we're discounting the severely yuribrained parts of my mind then it's a three way tie between Baccano, Evangelion and Cowboy Bebop

Speak your truth!!!! This was my favorite anime for a couple years in school. The fandom was so fun back then, I never forgot the characters even if they were just based on already existing archetypes lol.
