What's a game everyone loves but you don't like it?

Honestly I got no clue they are many games I like but allot I dislike but I honestly don´t keep track on what others like or not because I mostly don´t care what others like or hate.
That's a pretty sure recipe for peace of mind, really.

The Last Of Us
God Of War 2018/Ragnarok
Five Nights At Freddy's
Fortnite and every other battle royale ever made, I just dont like the genre
Zelda: Breath Of The Wild - I like Zelda, but I dont like open world Zelda
Sonic: Frontiers - I love Sonic, open world Sonic sucks

Honestly I dont like a lot of popular trends in gaming. I dont like cinematic narrative games, I dont like most open world games, I dont like battle royales, I dont like rogue likes, I dont like gacha games...

Dangangronpa V3 was a major, teeth caving kick to the face of the fanbase and is extremely divisive. I hated the plot twists and the whole thing reads as disingenuous and mean spirited.
V3's ending was great, based even.

Yes it is it may sound seflish but why should I care what people I don´t know like or hate I just wanna play games I enjoy and if I don´t enjoy it well it´s not the end of the world other people might enjoy it.

We all like different things and that a good thing. Imagine if every one liked the same thing well maybe we only would have fiffa games and nothing else.
A world with just Fifa would make Dante's definition of hell seem pleasant.

I'd love to hear your thoughts, because I felt nothing but derison for it. I understand the meta commentary angle of it, but I didn't appreciate the thematic whiplash.

Several
GTA 3, San Andres, and five
Any Call of duty
Any souls like
Minecraft
The last of us
Metal gear solid 1 and 3
God of war 2018 (It's just fine, but not as good and great as greek saga)
Darksiders 2 (Disapointing compared to the first game)
Nier Automata (great story, but too simple and boring combat system)
Doom Eternal (I love doom, but eternal is the only game in the franchise I can say I don't like)
The witcher 3 (this kinda good, but for me is not a masterpiece)
The evil within (even now I have no idea why people defend this game so much)

How dare. Then again, another user didn't like the spinoffs but really loved Dark Souls 1 thru 3. Eh, to each their own.

Nier Automata (great story, but too simple and boring combat system)
Shucks, just fighting 2B players online in Soul Calibur 6 got me to hate Nier Automata before ever playing it!

I liked 1 and 2, they were funny and insane games, the character's were cool and the story was ridiculous but in fun way. Everything that came after the first two was shit though, Ultra Despair Girls and the Anime were unnecessary and it felt like they were just milking the series due its huge popularity.
The twist is a the end of V3 is brilliant because it acknowledges what the series was turning into: a cashcow to be milked until dry: endless sequels that are the same shit over and over, spinoffs and dumb bullshit. What the devs did was to purposefully kill the franchise and defile its corpse before greed truly could, ruining every possible future sequel due the fact that, after all, it would be
just fiction, the very same the game mocks, "another slop sequel with new wacky characters and the ever-present Monokuma, and don't forget about Mastermind Junko! Hope's Peak! the fans will love it!"
I guarantee you, if wasn't for V3 we would've already reached the real "V3".

- I played Breath of the Wild for 7 hours and I was just... done with it. I knew there was more but I felt like I could'nt stand spending more time on what I presumed was just doing the same thing over and over again for over 40 hours.

- Maaaaaaaaan, I tried but i can't get into Bayonetta. I dunno the combat was fine but it didn't feel as good as some other action games that I played and I hated the QTE and Mini games sections. That Bike part can go to hell.

- Also tried getting into Disgaea but I didn't vibe with the sense of humor and felt overwhelmed by the gameplay.

Are you an indie person?

Actually, when I said "any souls like" I was counting fromsoftware's games too XD But if you like any souls like, enjoy yourself. I never liked hard games. I only can handle them if I like the gameplay, like ninja gaiden or cup head, but if it's not the case, like dark souls or any other souls like, I just got bored.

If you are talking about how many years I have been playing videogames, the answer is "No". I have been playing games for about 20 years.

I've never played Overwatch, but it qualifies for this thread because it directly influenced a lot of the changes that helped ruin TF2. :(
Good for you, the only good thing about Overwatch was the game's beta.

I got all that yeah, but I still don't like what they did. It should have been a post game outtake.

I enjoyed Danganronpa more for the setting (mostly the first) but the characters are pretty cookie cutter and predictable for the most part. The class trials are pretty dynamic, though, a step up from the likes of Phoenix Wright, and the series has good music.

All that said...

Dangangronpa V3 was a major, teeth caving kick to the face of the fanbase and is extremely divisive. I hated the plot twists and the whole thing reads as disingenuous and mean spirited.
All I'm gonna say about Danganronpa V3's ending is that I felt that it was for better or worse a memorable ending to me. The turn that the game makes at the end is so weird and out of left field that it caught me off guard. The last couple of hours of that game just made me consistently go "wtf, is happening". The ending just stuck with me.

With that being said, I overall enjoyed the first two games more than V3. Especially the first game where just like you said that game does great with the setting, where you're trapped inside the school compared to the other two where it feels less confined and you are able to move around freely outside

All of my normie friends (so all of them) love assassin's creed or hold it in high regards, I can't figure out why, I never asked them cause it didnt come up naturally but like. The first game was very tecnically impressive, that part I liked, but even then the combat was shit, and it's been shit in every entry.
The climbing is all automated so theres nothing there either, the bosses are just regular enemies with more hp, the story's so dull they got rid of desmond and nobody cared. The music I can't remember everything esxcept for the E3 trailer of 3, everyone reeeally likes Ezio and I just dont get it; and I only played 1 2 and brotherhood when they came out, I didn't bother with 3 even if it was a birthday gift

I could say the exact same thing about Far Cry 3, also a birthday gift; it was from my high school mates and it's kinda quaint how they just picked whatever was popular at the moment, loved em the best classmates I've ever had and we're still in touch 10 years later. But all they did was reinforce why I hate ubisoft open worlds XD

What was the point of all that crafting when the guns are MEH, and so was the story, In only remember the main guy was called Jason because eveyone said his name every 5 seconds
Those upgrade sistems are so boring, why do they make the character unable to do anything and super limited? It's not like fallout 1&2, it doesnt have survival mechanics or make you play around your weaknesses it just makes the game shittier for the first two hours, and even when you're leveled up the combat's really mediocre

I'm the same with AC. Played the first, actually enjoyed it, but never felt the urge to play another.

Also while I like bioshock, the combat's really crummy, stuff has like no impact and the weapons feel flimsy especially the tommy gun; good thing you can disable the vita chamber but the fact it's there by default is ridiculous. The option to disable it is hidden away in the menu

Like it competly ruins the challenge of big daddies! I can just throw myself at them without thinking

Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike.

I just never could get into this game, and it sure wasn't a lack of trying. I didn't find it as deep or as complex as many people would claim it to be. It's an okay fighting game, good even, but ABSOLUTELY NOT the masterpiece the FGC claims it to be.

Also the Gill boss fight sucks. ::lol

Sonic Advance 2, I don't understand how people give this a pass when they don't give Advance 3 a pass even though its way better designed as a Sonic game

Then again Sonic fans hate Sonic Forces but will defend Sonic Colors to the death, refusing to acknowledge it has many of the same problems.

Pokemon - I like JRPGs with great story and great characters but this series suffers from both, don't like having a team of silent creatures do the job for you instead of well developed characters.
Pokemon Black & White and Pokemon Sun & Moon flip the script by having actually developed characters around you. Ofc it's Pokemon, don't expect high art but having two different stories about child abuse in Pokemon, now that's BOLD.

Sounds like skill issue, JK. I feel the same way about SF2, like it's a masterpiece but it's so BAD.
