I don't recall, but if you watched it as a kid it might have been a dubbed American movie that trope had some success there because of Rosemary's Baby and The Omen, Maybe a less well known lower budget movie like: It’s Alive (1974)

and: El libro de piedra, (1969)

sounds similar but with an older kid, it had a remake in 2008 so you also might have seen that

Why not Pan's Labyrinth? It's dark, creepy and horrifying trials for a kid living in Franoist Spain.

Wow! You found it! It was It's alive! Thank you very much. I have seen the omen and Rosemary's baby. I have also seen the original El libro de Piedra and the newer one. Hasta el viento tiene miedo is also a good one. Not a fan of the remake. Mas negro que la noche is also enjoyable. You made my day. Thanks!
