What was your first PC game?

Activision's Asteroids, 1998, it was probably my first ever video game.
I didn't own a Megadrive until 2000, PS2 in 2003.
This intro will always be oddly nostalgic.

honestly I don't remember it could have been Pitfall II: Lost Caverns but I know it was on floppy disk.

Indianapolis 500: The Simulation was the first game I ever played on an IBM Compatible. It was on a custom built 386.

I was 4 and my father had Prince of Persia (MS-DOS), I remember it was so scary but intriguing, one wrong movement and you'd die, I started to hate it pretty soon and I never even actually completed the game to this day, I may have not even went past level 2... ::sailor-embarrassed

First ever PC game well techinly there are 4 of them I played for the first time in the same day.
Sam and Max
Scorched Earth
Warcraft orcs and humans
Baldies.

Yes I was rather late to PC gaming "I was 10 first time I played PC games"

Hm... I played multiple old games like Oregon Trail when I was younger. I don't remember much of those. First game I really remember having to have on PC is The Sims 1 + Expansion Packs, though. And the PC game that really turned me toward preferring PC gaming over others is FFXIV - which is so much better to play on PC than PS4.

I recently replayed some ‘puzzle bots’ - one of the first games I actually finished - I was shocked how much I remembered
Felt just like that scene from Ratatouille

I think it was either DooM or Decent (shareware ofc) that was inside the Windows 95 Mitac my father got for the family.

He liked DooM so I think it was probably that one, but I remember loving Descent and playing a lot of it (tho I never finished it)

GTA 3 for moi, still pop it on sometimes, for me it has the best atmosphere in any GTA game to date.

I guess it was original Worms, my neighbour play mate secretly showed it to me on his father’s PC. And that was probably the first time I have seen real ‘computer’.

It was either Roller Coaster Tycoon or Dragons Lair.

Commander Keen for me. I used to watch my Dad play Alone in the Dark too back in the day.
I remember playing that game for the first time when I was around 12. Makes me glad that I grew up as more of a PC gamer, a lot of people were late to learn of games like that. Most of the games I had back then were copies or shareware games. Had to order the best games through the mail unless you knew some real weebs to share copies with. I was lucky.

I don't remember, but it's between Disney's Aladdin, Doom II, Peter Pan: A Story Painting Adventure (came in a CD with the first Eagle Eye Mysteries), or Beauty and the Beast. We had Windows 3.1 at home, but MS-DOS games were still a thing. This was all circa 1994 going on 1995.

Could've been Skifree on Windows 3.1 or the shareware version of Jazz Jackrabbit. I also remember playing Commander Keen 4, Hugo III Jungle of Doom, and Hocus Pocus at the time.
