What was your favorite Pokemon game?

PokéPark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure

But if it has to be a mainline game i would choose Emerald due to nostalgia. I played blue first on my gameboy color many years before Emerald, but I remember my time with Emerald much more fondly eventhough I liked blue alot.

the mystery dungeon gen 4 games are probably the most emotionally pulling games on the ds and i dont CARE what anyone says. insane that nintendo remastered the gen 3 md games instead

What was this game? I remember it being a thing at the time, but I could never really work out what the gameplay was.
Is like a adventure game where you control pikachu and interact with various pokemon and do missions for them and you can also do battles

A new Pokemon is coming at the end of this year: Pokémon Legends: Z-A, looks a bit unusual to me but who knows maybe it will be good. What do you think about this Game??

I think the battles seem a bit interesting.
Game looks really washed out and gray, though.

I didn't play the other Legends game because Pokémon spinoff games are usually a hard sell for me, except for Mystery Dungeon. I like gen6 and Kalos a lot so I'm more directly interested in this one than I was in Legends Arceus.

I don't like the combat system, it's like the one from the PS1 and PSVita Digimon games.
Although is seem they did something to refresh the franchise.

Huh.. there is a question in my mind everytime i see a ''new'' pokemon game avalable, most of them are hacks, but does someone plays them again and again? I mean the pokemon games are addictive and replayable and of course i've played many but they need a lot farm and grind and it takes time to finish them, so why someone to keep grinding in pokemon red, brown, orange etc if they are almost the same?

Sometimes it is all about finding the perfect team or beating the game with the Pokemon that aren't meant to carry you throughout. Other times the games just offer some distinct, nostalgic peace of mind that makes playing them into a bit of a relaxing exercise (and we sure could use more of that in this sick, sad world we live in!). I personally just play entire adventures to the end because they don't require that much actual thought (not after traveling those paths for most of my life), oftentimes listening to a podcast or TV show while I'm at it.

And, of course, there's truly brilliant stuff out there, like Cristal Clear, which take the old formula and rejuvenate it.

I feel people play hacks to strike a balance between familiar and fresh. You'll have a hard time to convince me to play a mainline Pokémon game (the series effectively died for me after Gen 6) but super innovative hacks like Emerald Rogue are very much an experience worth having.

I gotta get into rom hacks dude... cuz I agree I haven't been feeling the modern mainline entries for a while now.

I want to get into them too, but too many rom hacks are too simple and unimaginative (What if Firered but with MOAR POKERMANS!!) while others try to be quasi-visual novels. Wish there were more simple rom hacks about going on an adventure in a new region to become a champion, without the weight of having to save the world or some shit like that. Maybe they're all right beneath my nose and I haven't looked hard enough

When Pokemon Yellow was a great craze I tried it. TBH it was a "horror" experience because it's no different than brainwashing a dog just to have fun and bet on making dogs fight with each other. It's weird to make this situation in a "childish way" lol. Whole situation is "weird". Catching pokemons, trapping them into balls, forcing them to fight... wow lolol.

Pokemon used to be so awesome and is so trash now. Started with Gen 1 but current Pokemon is literally unplayable. Shitty graphics, brain-dead gameplay for literal two year olds and hundreds of trashmons that have no identity whatsoever other then being terrible.

I could go on and on.

My knowledge of Pokemon doesn't go much further than Gen 3, but I've enjoyed what I've played. I really should dive more into the series one of these days.

Don't say it like that! The greatest terror organisation Nintendo has an obvious goal to turn little kids into cruel animal abusers to keep the illegal dog fighting scene alive!!! lolol

My peak of playing Pokémon was during the DS/3DS era and after that, the series went downhill for me. I also played the GBA games a lot, FireRed being the first Pokémon game I ever owned, with Sapphire and Emerald coming not long after, but I had no link cables so I couldn't trade with anyone, which is why I say the DS era was my peak.

I started with the DS games but I did try out the GBA Games and Yellow around the same time. Pokémon took up a lot of my childhood. From Heart Gold to Sun I pre-ordered every game and finished it each time. Gen 6 was when I was slowly losing interest and to me that was when the series was going downhill and fast. Sun was actually good and a fresh breath of air, but Ultra Sun/Moon felt like a very bland updated version. I think Pokémon should've had a better transition to 3D and even after playing Violet I do wish the games were bigger. Violet reuses 3D animations from gen 6 which was on the 3DS and it doesn't look much better than that system. Plus Violet has terrible framerate. I've lost all faith with Game Freak.
