What was the last game your parents bought for you?

I think it was Smash Bros. Melee; my younger siblings and I could enjoy it alike, and I was getting to the ripe teen age to be making my own money and buy games for myself instead of relying on them around the holidays.

There was only a single game that my parents ever bought for me. And it was a Non-Platinum used Final Fantasy VIII from ebay, which had so badly been scratched that FMV in Dollet where you get chased by the Robo Spider kept freezing.

My fix was to shake my PSOne like an absolute madman

The last game my dad gave me was FFX. An rpg that I appreciated on average at the time.... I didn't like Tidus in particular very much, but even less some battles that were too challenging and interminable. Add to that the skill-related orb system that was too cumbersome in my opinion.

The Hulk (2003) for PC. I didn't ask for it. I knew it was a bad game but I didn't have the heart to tell them or return it. I played some of it but never finished it. (Like I said, it was bad.)

I'm going to my parent's house tonight, that's exactly what I'm gonna ask : "what was the last game that you bought me ? ".

Because I'm pretty sure they didn't buy me one for the last 20 years ?

Well, what's the last game you bought your parents? Maybe they'd like to be playing Tears of the Kingdom right now, yeah? ?

Mario Kart wii was the last game my parents bought me, the last one I received as a gift tho was Tony Hawk pro skater 1 + 2 and Death Stranding from my brother last year

Yar's Revenge for the Atari 2600 when it came out back in 1982.

Been buying my own games and systems since.

The Metal Gear Solid collection for PS3, although I must admit I've never played them. I've seen gameplays and it doesn't seem like the kind of game I'd enjoy.

My answer will sound really strange but my parents never bought me games. But not because games were hard to get. It’s actually the opposite, they were TOO easy to get. Games here were extremely cheap so My allowance alone covered like 3 or 4 games at a time. Grey market is awesome Lmaoo.

It was Gran Turismo 3 bundled with a PS2. I was super surprised because we weren't that well off and something like that wasn't even on my radar as a gift. Needless to say, it was a wonderful surprise.

This might be a bit embarrassing to say, but it was Tales of Berseria last month for the PS4.

I usually get games for Christmas or my birthday and my mom is fine with just buying me a game since I actually don't ask for much and do a lot of chores around the house for my parents, which includes taking care of our three dogs (one of which is old, and the other is a psycho nearly-two years old Bernese Mountain Dog). So, in a way, you can argue that some of them are my payment for the work I do around the house.
