And this was like 1982 so it wasn't some flimsy spoon you'd get nowadays at target or whatever. These were some like, carved out of an old petrified tree back in the grapes of wrath days kind of shit. A couple of years later, we used to dig holes in the dirt in the yard... make these little mountains of dirt, dig tunnels with wooden spoons, then that was like a playset for GI Joe guys. But one day she got all angry about something while we were actually outside doing that, so we broke the spoons and buried them. Fast-forward like 25 years and she gave me a christmas gift one time of $50, but it was wrapped around a wooden spoon with a hole in it, almost as if to say she knew what we did with her old spoons and that she could still take me down at that point.
