No idea, I'm just happy to listen to PE music, haha.the parasite Eve battle track?
Was thinking this at first but the Parasite Eve track doesn't really have that fast breakbeat that is characteristic of DnB. I agree with what others have said, that the drums are more house-y.The first track is pretty much Atmospheric DnB.
For me its the gliding/ethereal sounding synthpads. Atmospheric DnB was so popular in video games during that late 90's gaming era that there has to be some connection to it going on.Was thinking this at first but the Parasite Eve track doesn't really have that fast breakbeat that is characteristic of DnB. This stuff reminds me of the Panzer DragoonsSounds like some early soft IDM/Experimental techno tracks like The Future Sound of London or some tracks in the Warp Artificial Intelligence album
PD has such nice music I often forget there is a game to be played. This stuff reminds me of the Panzer Dragoons
Orta was where I started
Yeah, i really think that games and movies were heavily influenced by those earlier acts of IDM(everyone hates this term) and ambient techno in general. I mean, in the 90's and 2000's techno was the equivalent of 2010's Dubstep in terms of popularity. I can't manage to spot any actual electronic music trends in more recent media tho, i feel like maybe EDM is slightly forgotten nowadaysThis stuff reminds me of the Panzer Dragoons

This sounds good but maybe with less drum in what I've heard. The first track is pretty much Atmospheric DnB.
This sounds close, just with a bit more piano.I want to say it's ambient house. It reminds me a lot of "Halcyon + On + On" by Orbital, which might be the most popular song in the whole genre.
Thanks! I have some F-zero GX vibe going in some tracks as well (well, the more mellow ones like Feather).Sounds like some early soft IDM/Experimental techno tracks like The Future Sound of London or some tracks in the Warp Artificial Intelligence album
I've only played the first on PC, Saturn and the remake but I'll really do the sequels now that I've heard this. This stuff reminds me of the Panzer Dragoons
Orta was where I started
i haven't played Zwei, but getting to Orta is definitely worth it. The Dragon has light, mid and heavy transformations that you upgrade through the stages by collecting Genes floating around the levels. It adds great flavor to an already enjoyable series. This sounds good but maybe with less drum in what I've heard.
