What makes the emulation experience did not and WILL NOT get close to the orginal experience

Short answer, Hardware - bruh it has to be connected to a CRT TV to relive the memory
Emulation - I've got my curved HDR monitor at 4k with crt shaders

Yah, emulation can INDEED be, in a sense, superior than the original experience. What differs is how much we enjoy it based on factors that have been mentioned previously on the thread. As for me, I can't get drawn in by a game if I play on the same device I send messages, work, listen to music, etc.

Am I missing out? Maybe, maybe not.
Am I enjoying it more? Yup.

I won't fault anyone for wanting to play on original hardware, but to me it's like the difference between people who only listen to lossless audio vs. everyone else. If it enhances your experience, you do you. But I don't personally get enough out of original hardware to prefer it over the convenience and accessibility of emulation.

Plus, the physical space it takes up, the need to upkeep the layout of my gaming space so that everything stay organized and playable, and not to mention the price.
This is my reasoning now even though I own a Master System, a Mega Drive and a Famiclone (Wanted 60Hz and couldn't be bothered spending loads on a modded console or getting one modded) I just find it much easier to have everything on my PC and I own 2 Mega Drive, Saturn and NES USB controllers so I use those when I emulate those particular systems. I'm looking at getting N64 and SNES ones soon too. Prices these days are ridiculous and I've as stated elsewhere I remember picking NES games up for 50P back in the early 2000s but now I won't spend a penny on retro games now. The physical space is a good point too, I'd want either a CRT TV for the old consoles or an OSSC which is again more money, why do all that when I can just fire anything I want up from the comfort of my PC?

fxpak pro actually supports MSU-1 music, it's pretty sick. SNES Earthworm Jim 2 with the Saturn music is the best way to play that game imo. I've also tried Illusion of Gaia with the orchestral arrangements and the Super Star Wars trilogy with the movie score. All the flash carts I have support save states, I just don't use them.
Krikzz is awesome, still have my everdrive 64 x7 for my n64

I've seen arcade builds of Sinden emulation for example @

Yeah it looks awesome. I've yet to try, I think it's TeknoParrot. There's no mod for stereo 3D yet on HelixMod Geo11 for it tho. But Flycast and PCSX2 can be modded for 3D.

I'm still shocked SMT IV and Strange journey is stuck on the 3DS. Those games deserve to be accessible on all platforms
imagine if atlus actually cared.
we can only hope in the future they port them, seeing they're remastering raidou for current consoles and PC.
