Of course, gaming doesn't count, we are all gamers here. In my case, it is Riichi Mahjong, the Japanese variant of the classic Chinese board game. I'm not going to go on a long tirade here about Riichi, but it is the mostly widely represented variant in video games.
I first came into contact with it through a Anime/Manga called Akagi, it's quite interesting and actually teaches the game fundamentals unlike a lot of Riichi anime that involve fantastical powers and unrealistic levels of luck. If anyone is interested, I could PM with more details on the game.
