PS2 What is your First PlayStation 2 Video Game?/Cuál es tu Primer Videojuego de PlayStation 2?

Earliest memory is Micro Machines V4. It's an isometric Arcade racer similar to Mario Kart with powerups, except the cars are miniature and race along tables and roofs and stuff. It's awesome and has a banger soundtrack. Also have a great 2000s retro-futuristic vibe to the whole thing which is PEAK.
I haven't played it but it looks good for the 4th installment of Micro Machines.

My first one was NFSU2. I played it at a friend’s house back then, when I was 4 years old.

The first two games i received after my mom bought me a PS2 were NBA Street Vol 1 and Dragonball Z Budokai 2. I had already played NBA street vol 1 previously so naturally i played Budokai 2 first

Although I also played the DBZ2/DBZ: B2 (2003-04) but in the GameCube version and then played it on the PS2 version via emulation on PCSX2 for PC.

Although I haven't played NBA Street Vol. 1 but I feel like it's going to look good for an NBA Live spin-off.

Its definitely like if you mixed NBA JAM with those old NBA live games. NBA Street Vol 2 is the peak of the series, and it does lean more into the arcadey aspects than the first game does (although the first game is still very arcadey) However I dont remember most of that game. I played/own it on the original Xbox when i was very young, and because i was young i didnt take care of my games lol. It got super scratched up and never played again, its been 20+ years since i ever played it

Don't worry friend, it's normal that when you're a child we don't know how to take care of things, although you can understand it over time and also that NBA Street Vol. 2 is Multiplatform because apart from XBOX it's also in the PS2 and GC version, obviously.

I remember when I first transferred to a different school in 7th grade, an upperclassman gave me his PS2 and his meager collection of games. The first two games that I played
Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus (USA).png
Final Fantasy X (USA).png
Although, I still need to finish Final Fantasy X.

Hmmm... Old memories...

The first one I played was Pro Evolution Soccer 2 in a friends' tourney. Making PES tourneys became a weekend role for years among all us (friends, classmates and neighbors), but I still didn't had my own PS2 console with any games (stuck with my old PS1, my first PC, the studies and some temporary jobs).

Finally, some years later, my bro and I decided to get our own PS2 with some uptodate games. It was the new slim silver model bundled with Moto GP4, and we also bought Tekken 5 and Resident Evil 4 at once.
Tekken 5 quickly became the favourite videogame at home, only later matched by PES 6....

By reminding myself of all this, I personally think that multiplayer videogames will always be the very best way of videogaming...

I played WE2002/PES 2 But in the PS1 version that only came out in Japan and Europe although I haven't played the PS2 version but that version looks good too.

Yu-gi-oh Dualist of The Roses, its the game my parents got alongside the Playstation 2 I received for Christmas 2003.
Ironically its one of the PS2 Games I never completed as I got a copy of DBZ Budokai in the spring and the rest was history.

I should go back and replay it.

I haven't played any Yu-Gi-Oh! of PS2 although that one looks good for a game based on the Yugi (Classic) era.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2 from PS2 was pretty impressive when coming from the previous PS1 Winning Eleven games.
The graphics upgrade, higher resolution, higher framerate, new player animations, etc. made you feel that you really entered the next generation of soccer games. This one got an extreme simulation style compared to the arcade feel of Winning Eleven 3 Final or Winning Eleven 2002 (tighter positioning of the midfielders and defenders, much better goalkeepers, etc.) so don't expect big wins (3-0 or more) against low tier teams even in "normal" difficulty in the first plays.
If you have time and ethusiasm enough it's a good thing to replay old soccer games like this, but if you want to get an instant arcade dose of old school soccer videogames, I'd recommend you going directly to PES 5 or PES 6.

Thank you very much for the information friend and I have also played the WS: WE10/WE: PES2007/PES 6 both in the PS2, PC and PSP version and it is wonderful although the DS version is different but it is fine.

And as a curiosity, the Gran Turismo 4 game that I played was through the PS2 Super Slim Gamer Kit that came with 5 Gift games and among them was that one but in the White Box although the Gran Turismo 4 is also included in the Blue Box Gamer Kit but in the Greatest Hits version.
