funny thing, my mom thinks every console is "el Nintendo".

Sega Genesis, Playstation 1, XBOX whatever always "apaga el Nintendo, y vete a dormir!" lol.

Here in my country (Panama ) any console is equivalent to PlayStation or Nintendo even if it is a Video Game Console that is not from Sony or Nintendo.

Aqui en mi País (Panamá ) toda consola es equivalente a PlayStation o Nintendo incluso si es una Consola de Videojuegos que no sea de Sony o Nintendo.

Mine was the Action Set Nintendo Entertainment System. My first console was an Atari 2600, but it was the NES that really got me into gaming.
It sounds silly, but the jump from a game like Pitfall to Super Mario Bros. was huge. When I saw the Mario walk towards the edge of the screen and seeing the screen smoothly scrolling along, it was unlike any other game I've played before and made everything feel more persistent and alive. It sounds silly but there were no other console games like that at the time.

And then once games for the NES began utilizing the mapper chips, it was another leap in graphics and gameplay. For example from Super Mario to Super Mario Bros. 2. I was blown away when I first played Super Mario Bros. 2 and saw the various enemies and levels and the fact that I could play 4 different characters with their own traits. At that point I was all about Mario and Nintendo and I couldn't get enough!

Man, I miss playing Duck Hunt with the zapper. It was fun getting frustrated getting the shots to register on screen, and then have the dog pop up to mock me over and over.

I always wanted to shoot the dog, but the game didn't let me.

For me, the first console I ever played on was gameboy color. However, I saw someone play ps2 first when I was young.

Like many others from my generation: NES! I can't remember the year but I got DuckTales, Skate or Die, Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles, Mega Man 2 and Super Mario Bros. to begin with. Then, my brother and I discovered so many games on it, from Shadow Warriors (Ninja Gaiden) to Joe & Mac: Caveman Ninja. I also loved Blue Shadow (Kage), Kirby's Adventure, McDonaldland and so many others…

Nintendo ds in white my dad brought me an R4 card to play all the greatest games for cheap. Got a guitar hero edition had it for ages. My brother used it later and i had a white one. Shorty after a wii.
